Laura- Thought I would tansfer management of your family members. Mary was my 4th grade teacher at Fannin School in Abilene. Otis installed Air Conditioner in our class room. I was unable to find a marker for Joseph Cates. The Blanchard cemetery records show that he and his wife are buried in Section 7, Block 2, Lots 4 & 5. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I want to thank you for posting the wonderful memorials of Katherine Pfeil Himmmel Memorial# 66866669 and her sister Elizabeth Anna Pfeil Himmel Memorial# 66865404 and their hushands and children.
The Pfeil sisters mother was a Bates/Baetz/Batz from Germany originally. I'm related to this Batz family.
It's nice to meet you here online.
I have a favour to ask. Would you please link these two Pfeil sisters memorials so they are easier to find for relatives doing searches.
Also you may have noticed I added some photos. I didn't scan them from the book from which they originally came from. I found the photos on ancestry.ca. Do you know the name of the book, author, isbn#? I'd love to have the Himmel book of photos.

I just can't say no to a Texan Himmel! I posted the requested photos of Adam, and quite a few others. Next time I will see if I can decipher the small Himmel stones, most likely cheildren. Also, I am going to trim that darn evergreen!
