I've been researching my family for about 7 years and find myself spending lots of time in graveyards. |
This volunteer service is a WONDERFUL idea--I often take pictures of any stone that has an even vaguely familiar name....plus, I'm a gramdma with no dependants at home (even the cat graciously died).
Finding someone's stone will be vicarious genealogical thrills--YAY!

There are two John Peter Sand one died in 1902 and the other 1923. Were they twin boys of Peter and Angeline Sand?

Thank you so much for the information. My third great grandmother's name was Melissa and her grave marker says Malissa. She died in 1921 and her marker says 1922. Sometimes it's exhausting trying to figure it all out. Is the Sand's book available in a library?

Peter's marker states he died in 1895. His memorial says 1894. Also, members on ancestry.com record his birth 27 June 1823 and his memorial states 1 June 1823. Do you have information to clarify his date of birth and death?

Thanks so much for the picture of William and Ida Schwegel's tombstone. She was my grandmother's sister and I used to visit her all the time. Don't get back much anymore.

Marlys, someone just posted a Grave stone for my great grandfather Peter Bergren and with it was Gustava's headstone!! I am not sure how this happened, but i am so thrilled. So the new 'Bergren"headstone that you took a photo of, belongs in the Bergren family, I am just not sure where. So, keep the photo and i will try to see where it belongs. I have asked the person who got the "Peter & Gustava" headstone to post it to Gustava's memorial. thank you!! Sara

Thanks very much for the photo of the headstone for Murriel (got the unusual spelling, too--thanks also for that) and Joseph Habas. I really appreciate your efforts.
