Bio and Links
Bio Photo I currently am a music teacher but I love history, especially the Civil War, genealogy and visiting cemeteries. I especially find it rewarding to give joy to people who want pictures of the graves of ancestors but they live too far away. I enjoy hearing the stories about their loved ones as well.

Avilla looks like Millie on gravestone
Hi. Look closely at that gravestone photo you took for Avilla Yost Burlingame.

It looks like her first name is Millie. If Avila is correct, maybe Millie was a nickname??

It also looks like she died June 02 (June 2nd), not 12th to me on the stone.

What do you think? I don't know about all of his wives since he's not a major character on the tree, so I don't even know if Avilla is right. Looks like Millie.

Thanks .. This mean?
Thank you!

Edgar Burlingame
I have the picture of his wife, actually both wives. Their names are Avilla Yost Burlingame, his first wife # 99726402 and Lydia E. # 99726418. I am posting them today.
M Hawthorne aka bluelady

i can add some details to Edgar's profile:
I found an interesting old news article that says Edgar died "in the South" in the winter of 1926-27 and his body was picked up by son-in-law Luther Reynolds and reinterred in Woodlawn on April 16, 1927 - which is his reinturment date, not his death date.

He was born in Steuben County, NY.

His parents were Joseph Burlingame (1799-1888) and 2nd wife Clarissa (nee Orcutt) Burlingame (b abt 1812 - d 1886).

The 1855 Census (at age 7) has Edgar living with his parents in Hornby, Steuben County, NY.

The 1860 Census (at age 12) has him living with his parents in Rathbone, Steuben County, NY.

In 1919, he and some wife were living in Elmira, NY, according to a Society News article in the local newspaper.

Hope that helps.
