Bio Photo I currently am a music teacher but I love history, especially the Civil War, genealogy and visiting cemeteries. I especially find it rewarding to give joy to people who want pictures of the graves of ancestors but they live too far away. I enjoy hearing the stories about their loved ones as well.

Find A Grave Memorial# 99132869 Josephine Beardsley
Thank you for the effort trying to locate Josephine's gravesite.
Do you know of any contact person for this cemetery? Someone who might have records, like a caretaker?

I visited the cemetery a few times myself trying to locate her and the other Beardsleys. I located Alice Diantha (Beardsley) Wood, memorial# 86213198 and her husband Burr Gene Wood (and a few of his family) and Alice's brother David Beardsley, memorial# 86213143. You located Lena (Beardsley) Canedy memorial# 99133024, which just leaves Josephine unfound, at least as far as I know of right now.

Her memorial says wife of David, which puzzles me. The David I found was unmarried throughout his life as far as I can tell through records. He was mentally challenged and needed care his entire life, which doesn't rule out a wife but combined with the records I'm almost sure he was never married.

So maybe Josephine was not a Beardsley, or maybe was a Batterson? I searched for any Batterson markers with no luck there either.

Again, and as always, thank you. You've found a number of my Beardsleys and I really appreciate it.

Thank You
I want to Thank You for all the time you have spent on filling my many request - I know how much time you must have spent doing this and only a true love of family and history would allow for your generosity. I hope to get out that way some day for a visit as the Troy/Canton area is where my Grandfather and his family are from.

If you ever need anything from the cemeteries in the Chicago area please let me know and I will see if I can help you out.
