Thought for the day: If you're waiting for your chance to win the lottery, take a look at some of these headstones where the person lived a few decades, a few years, a few months or even just a few hours and then you'll realize you're already the big winner.|
I've been doing general genealogy for a little over a year now (as of August '09). I get pictures of headstones here and there hoping it will help somebody somewhere and I consider it an honor to post cemetery information of the men and women that served this great land called the United States of America.
I've taken cemetery pictures in 30 states, Washington, DC and Canada and my favorite state for pics is definitely (southern) Louisiana.
Some of the surnames in my tree include Thompson, Liles, Southards, Chester, Stacks, Causey, Shipp and McDaniel.
The (famous) ancestor that I am most proud of is King Robert (the Bruce) I of Scotland.
UPDATE: April/2012 (I almost made it three years without putting some sort of gripe in my bio) - If you're going to ask for a transfer, please don't use some cheap excuse like, "I would like to link them to my family" or "I would like to make updates". Any knucklehead can do those things. Just ask for the transfer and I'll probably do it. I generally don't even care about the transfer guidelines. Honesty is more important. Just say (something along the lines of), "They are directly or indirectly related to me and I would like to have them."
Gripe #2 (July 2012) - Please don't post death certificates where you are supposed to put pictures of the person and headstone. Send a SAC with the birth and/or death information and parents if available. About the only thing left is what they died of and do we really need to know that?!?!

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

If I am reading Find A Grave correctly, you have a copy of the obit on Susan # 73870038. I would love a copy of it if you have it.
I am working on family genealogy and would also love to know if by chance are you related to the Gamblin line. If so I would love to communicate with you and will send you my personal email.

RE: Ambrose Peter Bryan
"I added the info but wouldn't that make him 4 when he passed? (1850-1854)"
Yes, he was only 4, but once it's etched in stone, it's really difficult to fix that kind of mistake.
In researching my family, I managed to get a hold of a copy of the book "The Origins and History of St. Peter's Church Queenstown, Maryland 1637-1976", by Rev. Edward B. Carley. It includes many of the old church records, back to the 1700s, including births, baptisms, marriages and burials for many of the parishoners which lived in the Queenstown area including my family, the Bryans.
Can you transfer Raphael Rodriguez and his wife Antoinette Rodriguez. My Find A Grave number is 47853168

|D&PNutt||Sarah Wells Ellis|
I can not find a source of the maiden name Wells for Sarah. Several years ago my husband and I spent a week researching Ellises in Wright and Texas counties. I have to think I picked it up there somewhere along the way. Likely from an obituary, I copied many while there but I don't know which one. Sorry I am not good help to you in your search. Do you know who the father of her husband William Ellis is? All I have on Sarah is that she died before her son James Luther Ellis in 1982.
