Experience Colburn
There are two Experience Colburns in the Evergreen Cemetery. The one I added that died in 1891 is the sister of Amasa Colburn as per the death notice in the "Chenango Semi-Weekly Telegraph on Sept 8, 1891. The one that died in 1857 was the wife of Amasa Colburn as you can see the death date on the headstone in the picture. That memorial was added by a Michele and she would have to be the one to add "the wife of Amasa Colburn".

There is an excellent book that was published by Sharon Donahe called "Evergreen Cemetery, White Store." I believe you can still get copies at the Chenango County Museum in Norwich, NY. It lists most of the interments in the cemetery with brief bios on the people. If they don't have it, I can contact Sharon about getting a copy. I believe it is around $20.00. If you have any other questions or requests feel free to contact me.

RE: Parents of Sarah Marinda Lowrey Pierce
I wanted to let you know that I just returned from seeing my mom in Lincoln, Nebraska. My daughter and I went to Waverly and cleaned up around the headstones of the Pierces and Tigers. Two of the markers, (Laura Pierce and Charles Pierce) were completely covered. We buried flower pots to keep the markers from being lost again.
I did not get to Weeping Water but will try to do so the next time we go up. Don't give up on us.
Do you know why Samual Morris Lowrey would have SD on the marker? Thank you for staying in touch. Bruce Pierce
