Thanks for your quick response.

I found (or lack of!) the same census information that you have.

I appreciate your suggestion of taking the headstone picture to a VA office. I'll do that soon, and let you know if I find any other information. Thanks again.

I believe we both have William Walsh & Naomi Omabell Hall as being married in 1944.

Do you know where they were married?
Do you know what years William served in the Army?
William Walsh was originally from Baltimore MD, and lived for a time in Washington DC.

He is the brother in law to my aunt, and I'm trying to piece together his life.

Obit William Kenneth Wright
Funeral services for William Kenneth Wright 49 of 319 West Palmetto Street will conducted this morning at 11 o'clock in the Shelley-Brunson Funeral Home in Sumter by Rev Wright Spears, Pastor of the Central Methodist church here assisted by rev. R Bryce Roberts pastor of the Trinity Methodist church in Sumter. Interment will be in Sumter Cemetery.

Mr. Wright a salesman for the Jones Auto Wreaking Company here, was stricken by a heart attack Sunday evening and died around 5:30 while reroute to the hospital.

He is survived by his window the former Miss Aileen Hammett and his mother Mrs. Coker both of Sumter: One sister Mrs. Leslie Hoover Scott of Columbia, three half sisters Mrs. Ida Henry and Mrs. Allre Greer both of Lenoir NC. Mrs. Della V. Wright of Austin Texas; several nephew and niece among who are Agnes Hoover and Homer Hoover Jr. of Sumter and Columbia who often resided with Mr. Wright.

Active pallbearers will include J. W. Jones and Thornton Candida, Jack Chatham's, David Garblers and Julian Pitts of Sumter.

He served in Co. I 18th S.C. Infantry - despite his advaned age during the Civil War. He survived the war lived until Nov. 18,1888, and buried at the old Old Stone Chruch in Pickens County SC.

She would be my 2grandmother on my father side her frist husband is buried at Mountain View Cemetery 408 North Fairplay Street, Seneca, Oconee, South Carolina his name was Robert Maxwell Wright. Her second husband is buried at Sumter Cemetery his is John Eugene Coker their had two children William Wright who is buied at Sumter Cemetery and his wife Aileen Annabel Hammett. My Grandmother Leslie Margaret Wright who died in Dublin, Franklin, Ohio, United States of America
