I'm a writer, photographer, and retired National Guard officer with a passion for history and genealogy. Most of the Find-a-Grave pages I maintain are for people to whom I'm related, however distantly, or were connected to my relations through marriage. That said, I'm always happy to transfer ownership of pages to people who are more directly related to the deceased.|
Also, if you have a relative who served in any war and does not have a headstone, please contact me and I will gladly walk you through the process of getting one from the Veterans Administration.

Transfer not necessary. Was doing research on the families that are buried at the Independence Cemetery, Gillam Township, Jasper County, Indiana and found a bio. sketch in the book "Counties of Warren, Benton, Jasper and Newton, Indiana," published in 1883 for John H. Robinson. I will send it to your personal email so you can add it.

I have a biographical sketch of John H. Robinson from the book "Counties of Warren, Benton, Jasper and Newton, Indiana 1883. Thought you might like to add it to John H. Robinson's memorial. Let me know and I will send it to you.
Thank you so very much for the transfer of my ancestor Samuel Meacham, II. I am truly grateful:)
Have a wonderful day.
There is no Head Stone for Jasper Whims. Only for his wife Sarah Ann.

I saw your note about military headstones on your Find A Grave profile. Can you tell me if the V.A. will set a military headstone on the grave, or if the family has to arrange the stone's installation? One of my 4th great-grandfathers was a Captain in the War of 1812. I suspect that his grave is unmarked, and I'm in the process of verifying that. If it is indeed unmarked, I would like to get a military headstone for him. However, I live in a different state and it would be difficult to personally oversee the installation of the stone. Any info you could give me would be much appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Bailey's Corner is in Gillam Twp. I don't know who put it in that way, or why...I hate to start a third one. What needs to happen is the two in here already need to become one, but since I didn't put either in here, it isn't something I can do. you can contact me directly at email@example.com if you want...

Hey...just a quick note....Independence Cemetery is PHYSICALLY in Gillam Twp, Jasper Co. I am not sure who moved the cemetery to Medaryville, Pulaski co. You might consider moving info to right spot...I almost created another set of graves...One of the many things that drives me nuts about this place...physical location vs mailing info....

Just read your memorial about Samuel Meachum. I am a decendant of Joshua's, part of the family that dropped the "a". Not sure if these are part of your family, but finding this was amazing for me!
Thank you for putting up his bio, I have some great info for my mother now!

There are two cemeteries named Old Baptist in Jackson county the one in Hollywood is not where Issac Gonce is buried. He is buried in Old Baptist in Stevenson. Hwy 117 some people call it Old Baptist Mount Gilead.
