Time moves quickly, while I've been a member for over 7 years to this site, I have been working on my family genealogy in spurts for quite some time. I appreciate all of the help people from this site have given me!|
Looks like I'm following descendents (YOUNG & SHAW) linked to the Revolutionary War & Mayflower. Exciting!
Today, while entering Woodside interments, the counter entered/turned to 14,000 memorials in the cemetery.
Now that I am doing photo requests, I have developed a deeper respect for those who have been doing it for a long time. It's a lot of work but - quite rewarding at the same time. By following the family name in research and headstone photos, one feels a kinship to that family.
I do ask one favor of anyone who would like to use photos from my memorials. Please ask permission before you "borrow" my images to use in your own tree (it helps me find connections for my own research) and, at the very least, cite my name as the researcher and owner of the image @ Find-a-Grave. Do that as a courtesy to me, since I did do the leg work & am sharing.
Feel free to leave flowers or sponsor any of the memorials. All ladies love flowers. I try to leave flowers @ memorials for young children and veterans.
Best of luck to us all!

Yes, her maiden name was Stallard (though I am not sure of the spelling). She had a sister named Bessie, who was mentally disabled, whom she cared for all her life. She was married to my great grandfather, Pleas. I live about 3 hours away from her grave, though I have been unable to attend it for some time. She was an amazing lady, with a wicked sense of humor, a love of baseball, and Elvis. I think of her every day.

Could you link Denver to his parents please?

This memorial is a link to his father (26416382). Would you please add the link? Also, this is my cousin. Would you transfer the memorial to me unless you are closer kin?
Thanks for accepting the edits!

In advance, should my tone seem ill, I assure you it is not with intention.
I added my Brother's Memorial years ago, now it is gone and this one is in its place. I do note that the BIO has words from my original.
I have added another and would very much appreciate this one be removed from my parent's Memorials as I have added yet another.
My parents are Calvin Coolidge Murphy & Margaret Ellen Skirvin.

Edits made. Thank you.
I have added the photos of Louise and Flake to your posted memorials per your request and will remove mine from Find A Grave site. Thanks for the logo comment. I have received many comments of the same type. Couldn't help but note your e-mail address of eku.edu. Would that happen to be at Eastern Kentucky University? I am an old "Colonel" having graduated in the class of 1974.
