Hi Sally,
D. Montgomery asked me to add them. I'm afraid it deleted your gravestone requests (which I wasn't aware of) so you'll have to add them again. Regards, Jan

RE: Moses Wheeler- Dominick Wheeler
Since Moses Wheeler is not in my ancestral line, I do not know. The contributor who mistakenly had him as a son of Dominick obviously doesn't know either. My very cursory search revealed that there are many books about Moses' descendants, so perhaps there are some about his ancestry as well. Happy hunting!

RE: Dominick Wheeler
Dominick Wheeler was from Salisbury, Wilts, England. His children (John, John, Jane, Elizabeth, John, Robart) were born in Salisbury, as recorded at the Church of St. Edmund, Salisbury.

Re the 3 Johns: It was common in the 16th century to give a child the same name as one who died as well as to a younger child even when an elder one with the same name was living. the second John lived, emo and had children from whom I descend.

In addition to the church registers, see:

Davis, Walter Goodwin. _Massachusetts and Maine Families in the Ancestry of Walter Goodwin Davis (1885-1966_, Vol. 3.

Moses Wheeler was from Kent, England, and not a son of Dominick.

Re: Dominick Wheeler
I am descended from Dominick's grandson, Henry, son of John & Agnes "Ann" YEOMAN Wheeler. My source for Dominick's will - in which he calls himself, "Domay" & names only his wife, Mercy & eldest son, John - is: Sub Deaconry of Sarum, file for 1615, No. 5, Essex Institute Historical Collections, 44: 293. My email is:

RE: Dominick Wheeler
What is your descent from Dominick and Mercy?

If it is through John, who actually should not be on Find A Grave because no one knows were he is buried, then we are related.

If it is through Moses, we are not because Moses is not a child of Dominick and Mercy.

Thanks for the source. I shall include that in Deborah's bio. Deborah is my 6X Great-grandma, so you and I must be distant cousins if she is your 5X great-grandma.

Curious about how you found this information that you sent as a Edit. Do you have a source I can add, and I'll give you credit for the find. I'll accept the Edit when I learn your source. Thanks ever so much!
