I grew up in Pennsylvania but live now in Colorado. I'm writing a book on my family and Find a Grave has been very helpful in my research and I would like to help others searching in my area. I hope I can help.

RE: Charlie Everhart

I wrote this first 2 paragraphs on the page describing Charlie's parents and the memorial in Crescent Park. If you want to use that, please do and any credit you want to give would be appreciated.

As far as the rest the the story goes, I cannot give you permission to use it as I did not write it. The story is from the book Memories of a Lifetime in the Pikes Peak Region by Irving Howbert. The good news may be that the copyright was allowed to expire by his descendants and it may be in the public domain now.

I hope this helps and when your book comes out I am sure I will see it as I try to read everything on the Pikes Peak region that I can. I'm even throwing around the idea of writing a book on the founders of the Portland Mine in the Cripple Creek Mining District myself. Trust me, it's an interesting story.

Good luck on your book,
Ron West
