I have been researching my family history for about 20+ years and believe in free exchange of family history. I was born in Pennsylvania, lived in upstate New York for a short time as a child then moved with parents and siblings to California, now residing in Missouri. A few of the family names I am researching are: Hoffman, Whitehead, Gress, Sifford,Lorentz, Hunt, McClanahan, Bepler, Holmead, Pairo, Livengood, Stutzman, Thomas, Martin, Stevens, Perry and Gonzales families. Anyone wishing to share info, feel free to contact me.|

Following up on your message; where did your Perry relatives live? My Perry relatives changed the name from Pereira about 1918. Have you also tried local newspapers?
|Phil Knox||Adam Baughman's wife|
I should have clarified. Her maiden name was originally "Ruch" which over time morphed into "Rugh" such as you can see on her gravestone. This was/is true within her branch of the family as wll as other branches. My own grandmother was a "Rugh". It was never really "Roof", although the name often got written wrong in the really old records. I think it was a "German to English" translation problem with some scribes. Actually some branches still today use original "Ruch".
Hey, just trying to be accurate.. Hope this doesn't Hey sound too "nit picky". <>
|Phil Knox||Wife of Adam Baughman|
Her maiden name was "Rugh" not "Roof".
If I can find a memorial for her I will link her to Adam's memorial.

Kathy, I have no personal connection to Richard Dawe. Do you have access to census records? Found him easily there on Ancestry.com. If you do not, let me know. I would be glad to give you that information. Lynn

Should have read your bio first! You're in Missouri. If you ever get out this way, let me know. I'd love to visit with you!

No, sadly no relation to the Hoffman's. I enjoy taking photos at the cemeteries and "visiting" with the folks there. Do you live near this area?
