I was born in Truckee, CA and raised in King's Beach, CA (North Lake Tahoe)where I spent a lot of time at the beach and working.I attended and graduated from Tahoe-Truckee Unified schools. My parents owned the King's Beach Variety Store, Tahoe Toggery, and Tots n' Toys stores at certain times in King's Beach. Yes, their really was a Joe King, for which King's Beach is named after. I knew him. I lived in Gardnerville, Nevada, not far from King's Beach and Tahoe for many years, but I now live and work in Chiang Mai, Thailand.|
Our line of the Porath family has been in California since my Great Grandfather deserted from the German Marines while serving on the SMS Hertha on a visit to San Francisco in June of 1872.

You are the only one who can remove it, because you put it up, you don't have to own the memorial to do this. Click on the photo and it will have a box you can click on that says delete this photo. I keep getting requests to delete your photo so hopefully you can remove it soon.

I saw your posting ion Eileen's page. You placed the photo and only you (or Findagrave admin) can removed it. Simply go to the memorial and then the photo and select removed. This should be the correct link:
|Anne Shurtleff Stevens||Dan Holtzel|
I spoke to one of his direct relatives and the picture is indeed of the father. Would you kindly remove your photo from the memorial for the son, #7288817. Thank you!!
|Anne Shurtleff Stevens||Daniel Holtzel|
You have the same picture on two memorials, the father (42122785) and the son (7288817). I am not positive whose photo is is, but would be willing to guess it is of the father. Would you kindly delete one photo or the other? Thank you!!
Please remove the photo you have on memorial 7288817, it does not belong to that memorial.
The following was posted on my page as proof.
A photo of Daniel HOLTZEL born 1827 died 1906 has been placed correctly to his own grave BUT also in ERROR to his son's grave. His son, Daniel HOELTZEL born 1867 died 1905, the picture does not belong. Some persons may take a glance at the grave stones and without reading them mismark them as the son's stone is old and the grave is sunken, where the father's stone is newer in appearance. The picture belongs to the Father, born in France.
I don't know how things work. I see that Dan Porath posted the photo. He is a distant relative to the Holtzel family. I'm not a relative, but my family owned part of the original Holtzel ranch at Greeley Hill and I knew the family well, Holtzel, Wenger, and McDiarmid.
Are you able to remove that photo from Daniel Hoeltzel born 1867.
Emma McDiarmid (Holtzel/Whitman) was a dear friend of mine. She was the daughter to Daniel born 1827(father) and sister to Daniel born 1867. Emma sold part of the original ranch to my parents in the 1950's.
If you, as managing, have the means to edit the information and correcting the error it would be greatly appreciated.

Dan - Thanks for the note on Chris Sanderson. I didn't know about his sister or your daughter. What a tragedy for all the families. Chis' mother was Merel M Sanderson. I don't believe she is at Trails End. Regards - Allen - 11th ACR - Vietnam

Hi - you have posted a photo of a gentleman on two different memorial pages. You have a photo of Daniel Hoeltzel on 7288817 which is the correct person. You also have that same photo on memorial#42122785 which is not the same person - check the grave photo for death date which doesn't match; can you please remove the photo from #42122785? Thanks, Karen

I am so sorry I just saw your request for transfer. It has been transferred to you. I normally immediately take care of requests. I had a very busy December and January.
|Anne Shurtleff Stevens||Henry Porath|
I have your grave site number for Henry at Calvary Cemetery, planning on going out today for a photo. Evergreen is a bit slower, I am waiting on the office to look him up on their non-computer system. Meanwhile, Henry (d 1977) at Calvary is in Section 4, Blk 8, Site 451.
