William J. King/Robert King
William John King is listed on find a grave as having been buried at Forest Home Cemetary next to his parents: Robert and Mary (MacFarlane). However, the parents' names are not listed on the find a grave website for forest Home. Is it possible to get photographs of the tombstones? I'm trying to determine if William is the brother of my great grandmother. thanks. Brettne Shootman

Joe engelbreit
Hi Janice...

A while back I contacted you about Joseph Engelbreit. He was a close friend of a fighter pilot I've been researching. I've come a long way in my research since last year and I was wondering if I could ask you a bit more about Joe. It would be great to hear from you.

That was a surprise! No one ever transferred a memorial page to me before. It took m a second to sort it out. Ha! Sure, I'll add what I know about "The Adams Family"

RE: Mary Spencer Hallenbeck
Mary Katherine ?? was married to Robert Scott Spencer - had at least 2 children
Don't know what happened to Robert Spencer

She married Harvey Scott Hallenbeck and had at least 1 child.

I went to school with a son - Thomas H Spencer who passed in 2014
I was trying to link him to his parents --another friend/classmate remembered his step-father and mother

I think Robert Spencer's grandfather was Fred R Brimmell - and he was married toa Kate Emerson Dege

Robert and Mary were living with Fred- a widow - in 1940 census

Mary Spencer Hallenbeck
Can you tell me if the Mary Katerine Spencer who was married to Robert Lynn Spencer in 1940 census living with Fred R Brimmell as a granddaughter - was her maiden name Brimmell??

She later married Harvey Scott Hallenbeck who is buried with her in Anderson, Ind.

Trying to figure out what happened to Robert Spencer and what Mary's maiden name was.

Thank you,

RE: Joseph Engelbreit
Hi Janice...

I'm so glad you're related! I love Findagrave for things like this! That is amazing that your Grandmother married a Fuller. Makes you wonder if there isn't some strange connection in all of this even though your Grandmother's Fuller husband more than likely wasn't related....

If you send me your e-mail address I'll send along the scans of the letter. My e-mail is

Take care,

Joseph Engelbreit
Hi....I was wondering if you were in some way related to Joseph Engelbreit. I saw your flower on his memorial and noticed that you had entered a lot of your own memorials for that name. He was a friend of a fellow WWII pilot Leonard Fuller who's plane was shot down over Germany. I have an interesting letter that Joe had sent to Leonard's family telling about what he knew about what happened to Leonard and it is a sympathy letter as well.

If you are and are interested in seeing it just let me know. If you are not than please disregard this note. I just like sharing if I find things like this with family members who might be connected. It's an interesting and rare glimpse into the past of that person.....
