Thomas Bell
Can we connect Thomas Bell Mem # 68735789 (which you are managing) with his mother Rebecca Bell Mem. # 68735799 (which I manage)?

Vance and Leah Wilkins
Do you know if Vance and Leah were the parents of Don Wilkins of Las Cruces, New Mexico? Refer to Find A Grave 93745226. If so, I would be pleased to attach him to them. I worked for Don years ago, and considered him a friend of mine. I didn’t know any of his extended family and I don’t remember his wife’s name. Don and Critt Coburn were partners in Coburn & Wilkins Automotive and were stock car racers in the Las Cruces area.

Okay Auto Correction, I give up!

For some reason, both times I've posted messages, it changes a "T"eutsch to a "D"eutsch somewhere in that line.

Just so you know….the spelling with a "D" is not intended.

Need to correct errors from that final descendancy chart (one from the "auto correction" and one a real typo--lol)

RE: Johann Wilhelm Teutsch
RIta, I believe we definitely have a family connection.

Johann Wilhelm Teutsch (1790 - 1834) married Phillippina Bleystein (1790 - ??) They were from Edenkoben, Germany.

They had six sons and a daughter:
Johann Heinrich "Henry" Teutsch (1812-1887)
Johann Martin Teutsch (1815 - 1853)
Johann Wilhelm "William" Teutsch (1818 - 1862 or 1864)
Johann Jacob Teutsch (1821 - 1874)
Johann Phillip Teutsch (1825 - 1904)
August Teutsch ( 1828 - ??)
Mary Magdelena "Lanie" Teutsch (1832 - 1910)

Your William Teutsch (Jr) is in the 1850 census in Claiborne Parish, La:

Wm Teutsch
Age: 30
Birthplace: Germany
Nany (Nancy) age 25
Reuben age 6
Rosanna age 3
Ellison age <1 yr

From a book published by one of our Teutsch cousins:

William was naturalized in Bossier Parish, La in 1847. He enlisted in the Bossier Cavalry Co C 6thLa Regiment (Harrison's Battalion) There are two accounts of his death. The first report states he died Aug 4 1862 and was the 18th death from Co C. Another report states he was killed Aug 4 1864 at an unknown location. He is also documented as being discharged in 1862 at Corinth, MS due to illness. Succession papers filed in Bossier Parish, La state he died in 1862.

After William died, his widow Nancy Gamble Teutsch married Daniel J Henderson on Jun 9 1865 in Bossier Parish. In 1870, they were recorded living in Columbia Co, Arkansas.

Just a couple of months before her mother's remarriage, daughter Rosanna married George W Lee on 6 Apr 1865 in Bossier Parish, La. He was born 1839 in Alabama. Two of their children were William A Lee, born 1867 in Arkansas and Ruben J Lee, born 1870 in Arkansas.

Does this help?

BTW, Johann Wilhelm Teutsch (Sr) is my 3x great grandfather:
Johann Wilhelm Deutsch
> Wilhelm Jacob Teutsch
>> Mary Leona Teutsch Holliday
>>>Vera Estelle Holliday Parker
>>>>Joe Wesley Parker
>>>>>David Wesley Parker (Me)

Viola Lee Thrift Springhill Cemetery DeKalb TX
I have added 2 pics. of the stone I believe to be Viola Lee. The same DOB & DOD is what you have listed. The only difference is the last name. If this is not the correct stone, please remove it for me. I am deleting my memorial for her listed as Thrift, Viola Lee.
Thanks, Joyce Brown

The Bells
I noticed a lot of Bells on the findagrave site that you manage. I recognized the name Thomas and his wife and Martha A Cornish Bell because Thomas is the 1/2 brother of my great grandmother Mary Margaret. I was wondering where all those bells came from. Are they related to Rebecca, Margaret and Thomas?
