RE: Mt. Moriah Cemetery
I was there about two years ago and yes, there was access. It really was not as difficult as you might think. If you are traveling east on Hwy 44 from Mount Eden, the cemetery is on the left. The sign that I photographed can be seen from Hwy 44, but you have to watch closely because it was pretty beat up and if the weeds are high, you might miss it. If you go to Google Maps and put in the coordinates 38.058,-85.13600, you will see that it is the entrance to what looks like a driveway/mini road -- the sign is at the intersection of Hwy 44 & this driveway/mini road. If you go down the driveway, after the curve, there is a fork -- I believe you bear to the right and it will take you to the cemetery -- the left takes you to the house -- if I remember correctly - either that or you bear to left & the right is the house. I don't think the cemetery portion is on private property. There were a number of stones very visible and in good condition. If I remember correctly there was a gravel sort-of parking space at the top of the cemetery, but turning around was tricky. Most of the cemetery was in a copse of trees. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help in any other way.
