She was NOT the wife of Peter Townsend Atteberry who was the son of Littleton Atteberry. She was the wife of Peter Atteberry who was born in 1850 and died in 1880 - see http://records.ancestry.com/Peter_Atterberry_records.ashx?pid=22155776

|Crystal Attebery||Name Spelling|
Hello...I was wondering if you could possibly change the spelling of David Atteberry's name to Attebery with one R. We are trying to track where our name changed spellings. Plus, I am not sure where you got some of the other listing for Attebery but can you double check them for me. I would do it, but some of them don't have pictures. Thank you....Crystal Attebery
|JFV||Littleton Atteberry's wife Elizabeth|
She remarried William Brooks in Greene County Il in 1867. He died a year later and is thought to be buried in an abandoned cemetery in Section 4 of Jersey county near the line Greene county. She shows in the 1870 census but not 1880 census.

I just saw your message now, and I don't see when it was posted. This is a busy weekend for me, so I don't have the time to dive into it the way I would like. I'll be back later when I have some time. Thanks for your post.

Hello Ashleigh, welcome to Find a Grave.
No, I am only very distantly related through the Simms/Ransford line. They descend from the Harris clan in the Sullivan County Indiana area.
I've been doing some research and happened to check to see if any of them were listed. I left a token out of respect for a distant family member.
