Martha Russell Ledford
I believe you're right about her parents and I'll make the changes in my database. Now on to another mystery to solve. THank you for sharing the information.

I bet you already know this, Grover Frisby/Frisbee (this family name is spelled several ways so I add it like this) was married to Nola Ledford. Nola was the daughter of David Robertson Ledford and he was the undertaker for Grandma Martha. So, could they have collaborated on the father's name? I didn't find a Bill Russell in the 1850 census but did find a Mary with a daughter Martha in Haywood Co. And her parents could possibly be what they said on Ancestry, I would just like to prove is somehow. We're descendents of James "Jimmy" C. and Charlotte Rogers. She's another of my ponderings.

Her death certificate says Bill Russell and mother is unknown. I'll check it out further. I have a lot of the history on Martha and L.E. Took me a while to find him when I began looking because he was called "Babe". Which child are you descended from?

Patricia: Could you let me know how you found Martha's parents' names? She is our 2nd great grandmother. Thanks, Ann Kent

Patricia: Thank you for putting Grandma's information on FindAGrave. There's another listing for the Gap cemetery. It's called Gap of the Mountain, or Gap of Mountain. Would you move your input over to that cemetery? Thanks. Ann Kent
