Born March 10, 1940 in Hogansville, Troup County, Georgia to Herman Hanson Mattingly and Mary Lee Oma Crowe and the second eldest of seven children to Herman and six to Mary.|
My primary genealogical interests include Mattingly and Crow/e and connecting lines. I am descended from Cezar Mattingly but research all of the Mattingly name. From the Crow side, I am descended from James Crow (1713) and his second wife, Grace Denson.
If you see a memorial created by me and the individual concerned is of your immediate line, but not of mine, I am happy to transfer that memorial to you in accordance with Findagrave rules.

|Liz Lehman Mattingly||Re: Memorial# 55853307|
Eunice's mother's name is Zada Alice Burris.
A side note - a friend at work is a Mattingly and when I discussed the family with her she said, "Yes, they are everywhere in Kentucky, lots and lots of them." Her parents, in their 80s, have about 70 grandchildren!
|James Richards||Much Info|
I got all your notes and will post them. Did you find any new Mattingly's in the list (aside from the infants) or were able to add cemetery location that you did not have before?
|Kevin Mattingly||Charles Mattingly|
I was doing some research on the family tree and found your find a grave for my uncle Charles Mattingly.
|James Richards||Mt Carmel Cemetery|
I emailed you a list of 18 new Mattingly memorials and about 80 more that I added. I hope you find something useful.
|James Lee||John Benedict Whitfill's Burial|
John Benedict Whitfill was my grandfather he is not buried at St Mary's Cemetery at Big Clifty, Ky. He died in the Mississippi State Sanatorium at Whitfield, Ms. not to far from Jackson. His grave is not marked, the cemetery was moved and the records were destroyed. Hopes this helps. James T. Lee

You created this memorial ( 135971016 ) earlier this week but it is a duplicate; it already exists in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
|James Richards||RE: Gabriel Mattingly #2|
Thanks! I am going to leave it in St. Carmel and I linked him to his wife; when I finish this cemetery I will send you a list of the Mattingly's I add rather than one at a time. There are also several Wheatley's being added - are you interested in those also?
|James Richards||Gabriel Mattingly #2|
A memorial exists for him but it is in the wrong cemetery, the newer St. Anthony Cemetery (about 3/4 mile away) from the first St. Anthony Cemetery where Gabriel actually is (for some reason called Mt. Carmel Cemetery).
|James Richards||Gabriel Mattingly|
I have added Gabriel M (1798-1872)
