Please do not add Photos of obituary to the memorials I add. They should not be added as a photo. If I see them I will send them in to be removed. I will add it to the bio if you send it.I will not add family names if they have not passed. This is in the FAQ's |
What is Find A Grave?
Find a Grave's mission is to find, record and present final disposition information from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience.
Memorial contributions to Find A Grave should fulfill that mission - registration of the final disposition. If the memorial contribution corresponds with only the main mission, then the memorial fulfills its purpose as part of Find A Grave's mission.
Find a Grave memorials may contain rich content including pictures, biographies and more specific information. Members can leave remembrances via 'virtual flowers' on the memorials they visit, completing the virtual cemetery experience.
Find A Grave is a resource for anyone in finding the final disposition of family, friends, and 'famous' individuals.
When adding names it should not be a race to be number one, It should be about adding to the right cemetery and not make a lot of doubles as some do.
This is not a family tree site. If you want your family tree there are lots of sites for that.
I put a lot of time in to what I do. I take care of all I add.
The new edit system is so much faster. Please use it. I may not add all if you send it the old way.
Sorry I will not link to an unknown burial.
I will link a cremation but not from the 1800's
I transfer only family that falls in the guidelines. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your SIBLINGS, PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS,GREAT-GRANPARENTS,CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, and GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.
I would like to know how you are family, (Like your mothers father) not just my grandfather.
I do not transfer to name collectors or Just because someone is in your family tree.
The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.
If You use my photos on Ancestry Please give credit to Stone Finders. After all if we did not take the photo and post it you would have to get it yourself.
If someone adds to the right cemetery first the unknown are sometime removed. The one that is in the right cemetery first may stay, so if I search a cemetery and do not find the name I add it. If you move you unknown I will sent them in to find a grave. I walk a lot of cemetery's and take hundreds of photos. I should not have to look for your burial unknown.

I'm working on the New England Elkins family genealogy and find you have many of them and their descendants listed. Would they be your family line as well?

please go ahead and add the picture because sometimes the dates don't get added to the stone and also sometimes people get discouraged with taking pictures and they never get added...so yes please add the picture and thank you very much

|Marcy Fuller||Fuller's in Riverview|
Hello Stone Finders, Thanks for all the work you've done. I located my 3rd G-Grandfather in Riverview Cemetery in Norridgewock, thanks to you. If you want to link their relationships I will tell you them since they are all in the same cemetery:
John Fuller married Martha Cromwell Fuller
their children: Amanda Mary, Vesta Arlena, Fanny Olive, Frank Adams, all buried in Riverview. And Frederic Chase who must be buried elsewhere.
Amanda married Norman Isaac Austin and they are buried in Riverview also.
Frank A married Elizabeth Cole (Lizzie) both buried in Riverview also.
Frederic Chase married Emily Jane Law

Thank you so much for photographing not only my Great Grandmother's gravestone, but also for all of the other corresponding family gravestones.
I didn't not have a death date for Lillian until you posted that photo.
I also did not know that her father Llewellyn had a wife and two children that passed away before he married my second great grandmother, Carrie Staples.
Thank you again!!

Do you happen to know what section your husband missed? If I knew, I could photograph that area and try to get the missing stones. I'm trying to think of the easiest way to find those without printing the list and going stone by stone through the entire graveyard. Hm. I guess that wouldn't take more than a day. I'll have to think about it. Any thoughts that might help?

I actually moved recently. I am not sure when I will get back over that way but if I do, I will take a look.
