RE: Festus K Gibson
I noticed that he had died at 35 but there was no word of what caused it so I will take your assumption. I have transferred the memorial to your care since you are family.

I created a memorial (173365274) for him. I am assuming that he was buried at Spring Hill Cemetery in Crenshaw County that was mentioned in "The Luverne Journal". Is this correct?
Thanks Bulldog Fan

RE: Greer Worley #120477574
Great - so glad you know where his memorial is - I searched for it a long time, since I always post a photo at findagrave after it's been sold so family can find it. Feel free to post it at Stephen Greer Worley's memorial.

If you haven't already done it, I'm going to submit an edit to correct his middle initial.

Also, there is a photo of him with a woman labeled "Greer and Rebecca Worley". His sister Rebecca died before 1800, so it's not her - but I see from an online family tree that he had a cousin Rebecca, daughter of Milton and Margaret - married name White - memorial number 72495838. I'm going to post that photo there - and I'll also post it at Stephen's memorial.

Another photo labeled just Mr and Mrs Morley was taken around 1875-80 in Bellaire, OH - I can send you a copy of the scan if you think you might know who it is.

Greer Worley #120477574
The photo you copied from my eBay store is probably not this person. This memorial is for a person born in 1878 and other adult photos of Greer in this group were taken around 1870 - this one may have been closer to 1880. Either way, they are not photos of a person born in 1878.

No apology needed.
We know that family pretty well since we do care for their graves, but I never assume we know it all. I thought you might know some tid bit we did not.

I have a question about John Brown listed below:

Find A Grave Memorial# 67372414

John is my wife's 4th grandfather and we tend to the graves of John and Nancy (Wood) Brown and Lucy (Johnson) Wood.

You left flowers on the F.A.G. site for John Brown with a man carrying a revolutionary flag representing his "service".

What service would that be??

Thank You
I never knew my great grandparents name, I just knew where they were laid to rest in unmarked graves at Camp Ground. My mother loved that church I could tell.
We are cousins like 6th if I did my figures right but it doesn't matter, It is just nice to meet others in the family. My grandfathers brothers widow Aunt Geraldine Rhodes had an idea once to have a family reunion in Luverne at the community center her son over rode that idea.
I use to meet a lot of Turners and Rhodes at great grandmothers MS Lousana Jeffcoat Rhodes birthday party. MS Daisy sister-in-law married into the Turner family.
When I was in the seventh grade Great Grandmother sat with me and explained to all that would listen how the Turner Family was kin. By the time she finished I had over 100 pages of geanology, back in 1970 and a 11 year old or so I didn't know the importance. We have the Hinshaw Family on the internet, maybe I need to start the Turner and Rhodes side as well.
Thank you for responding so quickly. I live in Houston TX if you all are ever this way, some times I go home to Black Oak, AR. Grew up in Midland City, AL just outside Dothan, I have two brothers and my sister that still live there. My brother Kenneth is CFO for CBS News west coast, my oldest brother William Donnie passed in Janaury 03. He had a stroke on his daughters Ashely 16 th birthday. God at least him see her turn 16. He was a drug and alcohol user they couldn't do anything for him. He was my only brother!
Again thank you. my email is

RE: Robert James Thompson
Hi Lynn:
The source of the photo is "History of Orange
County California," published 1921.
Robert J. Thompson is on page 983.

There is a Biographical Sketch of Robert in this
book. It describes him as "A highly progressive
In the biography it has two marriages for Robert:
1) Evelyn L. Flagg, dau. of Lucius and Elmyra
(Chittenden) Flagg, and the great granddaughter
of Thomas Chittenden the first governor of Vermont.
After Evelyn's death Robert married
2) Ida May Garrett

There is much more information. If you cannot
connect with the book let me know.

Good Luck with your family research.
