Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am recently retired, with more time now for volunteering, family genealogical research... and, yes, Findagrave.

Most of my Findagrave memorials are for members of my own family. If you believe you are related to someone who is part of my memorials, please contact me. I have fairly extensive research, with documentation, for most people and am always interested in sharing information with members of my extended family.

Photos that are not attached to members of my family were uploaded to the church memorials for the Church of St. John the Evangelist, Chews Landing (Gloucester Twp.), Camden County NJ. I do have larger copies of these and would be willing to send them. St. John's Churchyard burial records date back to the late 18th century, and include Revolutionary War patriots. If you are a descendant or relative or someone buried there, and do not see a photo with the memorial, then the headstone no longer exists. On the other hand, if you contact the parish office, we can provide the exact location of any grave site in the churchyard. St. John's website url is www.stjohns1789.org

R. Tyre Jennings
Hi Carolyn, I was out at Old City Cemetery yesterday and took a picture of Mr Jennings marker that I posted to your memorial. I think you can rearrange the way the photos are posted so that Mr Jennings picture can be back at the top. If you do not want the picture there at all, let me know and I will remove it.

Regards,

John Elam Scruggs
I am a direct descendant of John Elam Scruggs. His daughter Sarah Ann was my great great grandmother. I have in my possession a picture of C. M. Scruggs who is also buried in the same cemetery. The picture was taken in Fort Worth, Texas so I am not sure if it is the sam C. M. Scruggs. I have a very old picture taken in Shelbyville and on the back it has "my dear old father" written. I think this could possibly be a picture of John Elam Scruggs, not for sure though. Do you have any information on the Scruggs family or could you put me in touch with someone who might have any information. I plan on coming to visit this cemetery soon. Thank you for the picture. Margaret Brown Williams, Austin, Texas.

RE: Transferring memorials
Carolyn,

I have transferred Robert and Nellie Jennings to you.

I added photos to the others you requested but I didn't add the memorial pages so cannot transfer those. One of those was added by an active contributor and 3 were added by a contributor who is deceased. You will have to ask Find a Grave for those 3.

Chew
Carolyn
The Chew family that I have made memorials for are not my family. I made memorials from a local cemetery.

How funny that I sent your own site to you!
If in doubt, remove the Sterling, but I will dig in my notes when time permits since I had it in my database when Connie Stover was communicating with me about John L. DeMar. John possibly connects to my Maryland family, but there is no
documentation at this time.
