Just out of interest, James Campbell Games is my husbands great, great grandfather.
Dear Mary, Realized that I should have given you my e-mail address. firstname.lastname@example.org
Hope to hear from you. Thanks, S A Edgell
Dear Mary, Wanted to let you know that I was on this site also and couldn't believe that you have been searching our ancestors too. I am Uncle Ralph's daughter and I have so many questions. One is, "Who are Annie and Mary?" Susan (Scheuer) Edgell

I have placed photo of Emma's headstone on the memorial you created for her in Greenwood Cemtery. You have her linked to Louis Ebeling in another cemetery, however, it appears that Louis is buried in Greenwood alongside Emma. I have created a memorial for Louis in Greenwood and attached the headstone picture to this memorial. I wanted to let you know. Please let me know if the Louis Ebeling is related to you. I will transfer if you like.

It is great to hear from you and locate a relative from that branch of the family. I can't wait to read more of what you have. Unfortunately, I do not have an Ancestry.com membership at present, but it increasingly looks as if it would indeed be of benefit for me to get one. I have been considering it for some time - trying to weigh the cost vs. benefit. I'll have to try to figure out what to do in the interim until I've put enough money aside to join, as I wouldn't want you to have to spend a great deal of time and effort to send me things hardcopy or through e-mail and GEDCOM when they are already online. I am curious to know whether any old photos, daguerreotypes, etc. of that family still exist, as some participated in the Civil War and I assume were G.A.R. members, too. Thanks again for replying and I look forward to further communication with you.

Dear Ms. Rosquin,
I was excited to discover information you have posted relating to a family by the name of Philips, residents of Ohio County, West Virginia who are interred in Peninsula Cemetery, Wheeling.
Peter Philips, Sr. (29 October 1812 in Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland/13 May 1896 in Wheeling, Ohio, West Virginia) and his wife, Jean S. Sinclair (07 July 1816 in Drakemyre [North Ayrshire or Aberdeenshire?], Scotland/29 July 1895 in Wheeling, Ohio, West Virginia), are my 4th great-grandparents through their daughter, Mary Jane Clark Philips (Circa 1839 in Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland/01 March 1900 in Wheeling, Ohio, West Virginia).
In addition, I recently discovered that one of Peter Philips' sons, William (Born Circa 1841 in Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland), his brother-in-law, my 3rd-great grandfather, George Washington Clarke, Sr. and George's brother, Stephen Clark, Jr., all served under Captain John Carlin in Battery "D" First West Virginia Light Artillery during the American Civil War. A history of Carlin's Battery, along with more than 100 original biographical sketches, in the book 'Carlin's Wheeling Battery: A History of Battery "D" First West Virginia Light Artillery' by Linda Cunningham Fluharty & Edward L. Phillips.
Thank you so much for posting the information on these ancestors as I am now able to fill in some gaps vis-à-vis dates, names, parents, children, burial sites, etc. I am curious to know if you are a descendant as well, and whether you may be able to provide me with ANYTHING in addition to your postings concerning the Philips or kindly refer me to someone who is researching this line.
Here is my line of descent from Peter Philips to my great-grandfather, Clarke Hamilton:
Peter Philips, Sr. (29 October 1812 in Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland/13 May 1896 in Wheeling, Ohio, West Virginia) m. Jean S. Sinclair (07 July 1816 in Drakemyre [North Ayrshire or Aberdeenshire?], Scotland/29 July 1895 in Wheeling, Ohio, West Virginia) c.a. 1835 in Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland.
Mary Jane Clark Philips (Circa 1839 in Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland/01 March 1900 in Wheeling, Ohio, West Virginia) m. George Washington Clarke, Sr. (14 February 1837 in Wheeling, Ohio, Virginia/19 July 1894 in Sherrard, Marshall, West Virginia), s/o Stephen, Sr. and Narcissa Evans Clark, on 11 November 1859 in Wheeling, Ohio, Virginia.
Mary Myrtle Clarke (16 July 1878 in Martin's Ferry, Belmont, Ohio/09 September 1964 in Dennison, Tuscarawas, Ohio) m. Allen Walker Hamilton (07 November 1881 in Wheeling, Ohio, West Virginia/16 March 1943 in Harrison [County], Ohio), s/o Charles Perry and Maria Baer [Bier] Hamilton, on 12 November 1902 at Second Presbyterian Church, Wheeling, Ohio, West Virginia.
Allen Clarke Hamilton (28 November 1914 in Shepherdstown, Belmont, Ohio/04 February 1977 in Bellaire, Belmont, Ohio) m. Edna Louise Laisure (07 March 1914 in Fairpoint, Belmont, Ohio/October 1994 in Wheeling, Ohio, West Virginia), d/o Clyde Elmer Ellsworth and Margaret Ellen Robinson Laisure, on 19 September 1936.
Thank you very much for any assistance you may provide. I look forward to hearing from you at your convenience.
|Michelle Oliver||Korn records|
I saw you had posted some cemetery records for the Korn family. They are ancestors of my mother in law and I was curious to know if you are related to the Korn family or if you had just posted them by chance. If these people are indeed related to us than you have provided some wonderful information for me.
If you would like to contact me my email is email@example.com.
