My great X 4 grandfather was an early settler in Hempfield Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA. I was born in Adamsburg, but raised near his farmstead in Arona Borough.

The names that I am researching are: Smith (Schmidt) Henry, Baughman, Long, Errett (Ehret), Haines, Kunkle, and Oplinger. Also, Harvey, Chivers, Higgins, Hannihan, and Glennon.

I moved to Missouri in February 2006, but I am still active in tracing the ancestors and return home for a few weeks every year to see the relatives and to visit the courthous, libraries and cemeteries.
