RE: Emanuel Bennett
Neil, thanks for the prompt response and for providing the clarifying information. Emanuel Bennett is also the 2d ggf of James Bennett, for whom I manage a tree. If you have no objection I will post the photo of the stone and your explanation on the appropriate pages.

Thanks again and for being a Find A Grave Contributor

Dave Cox for Jim Bennett.

Emanuel Bennett
Hi, just added this memorial information to my tree. Do you know the significance of the 2 names on thee stone? As far as I know Emanuel had no dealings with the Bray family??

Nicholas Amick Emig
I am a descendant of Nicholas Amick Emig through his son Jacob Emig/Emick. His place of burial is rather puzzling. Some have his burial at Wolf's Church Cemetery in York Co. PA. I have been to that cemetery and found no head stone for him nor were there any records of Nicholas being buried there. It always seemed strange to me that in 1798 a person would die in NC and be transported to PA for burial.
I have done a lot or research on my Emick/Emig/Amick ancestors an it would be good to verify the burial site of Nicholas Amick/Emig. Would sure appreciate any help you could give.

Alice Amick
Hi there. I added a memorial for Alice S. (Amick) Bour to Crown Hill 115542426. Parents are James Amick and Melissa Koontz. Are you interested in a transfer of her, her husband John Bour 115542468, and son John Coy Bour 115542445?

Amicks @ New Lebanon
Hi, Neal

I have been working on an update of the New Lebanon Cemetery (Cooper county, Missouri) and noticed you had entered some of the Amicks there.
I just wanted to let you know that I am in the process of uploading photos for that cemetery. Some of them are up already, others yet to come.

Rev. John Reed
Oops, did not realize you had already added him to findagrave. Should I transfer my site to you or could you transfer your site to me? Waiting to hear, Carol

Mary B. Gracy's mother
Hi, Neal, someone added Mary Jane Reed's grave and transferred it to me. I have added Mary Jane Reed's bio. If there is any more information that you would like me to add or if you would like me to transfer William Baker Gracy's site to you or another family member, let me know. Her mother's name was entered as Mary Jane Reed Scoggin and her # 92102615 if you would like to link Mary B. to her mother.

Amick Geneology
Hello Neal,
Thank you for uploading photos onto this website. It is great to have access to photos of ancestors. I assume we are long lost relatives, in that, through my great-grandmother, Mabel Ellen Amick, daughter of William Amick, son of Gideon Amick, son of Peter Amick. Mabel Ellen Amick marride Peter Jefferson McQuilling. Together, they had my grandmother, Ethel Mildred McQuilling. She married my grandfather, Clyde Edward Hale, who had my mother, Geraldine Carolyn Logsdon. My mother married my father, Edward Lee Logsdon Sr. I was able to trace back to Nicholas Emich/Amick, and Johannes Emig and Johan Emig, but cannot trace any further back. Do you have any further information? I would be very appreciative for any help. If you need any information, please feel free to email me at

Amick family
Jacob and Mary Barbara Moser Amick were my 3rd great grandparents. I am slowly but surely building my family tree. I don't know if we're distantly kin or not but I would appreciate any info you can provide.

Thanks for the transfer and added links. You can transfer Verba if you like, it's up to you, she is your relative too. And I would love to have any info you have on the relatives, sometimes info is wrong or missing.
