Pictures
Greetings, thank you for sharing such wonderful pictures. In my family tree program, I try to use pictures in addition to source documents. May I use the picture you have posted for Mary Ann Hardesty Ashcraft, as well as any others I may across that you have taken, in my personal Family Tree. I would be happy to denote that it is from: Find a Grave Contributor: Grandpas ghost (#74126791).
My 3rd Great Grandmother was Mary Margaret Ashcraft Ross, daughter of Elijah & Elizabeth Hardisty Ashcraft.
Thank you again for your time, we all appreciate it very much.

Aunt Opal and Uncle Harvey
Hello cousin! I am so excited that you wrote to me about our family. I have been researching all of my family since I was 16. My Grandma Madge Graves Widdifield (her mom was Belle Ashcraft - Harvey's sister) always kept photo albums and scrap books and of course she was thrilled that I was interested. She gave me her information and we worked on it all. We joined the Daughters of the American Revolution through our relative Icabod Ashcraft - the highlight of Grandma's life. We were always told in Opal's letters that Florence Nightengale was related to us but I never found any information to that effect - doesn't mean it isn't out there though.
Now, I know you are in my exact blood line so I will ask you some questions.
Have you researched any of the Campbell side of the family?? I am trying so hard to locate our family but have stumbling blocks. Jesse James "Jimmy" Campbell was our Grandpa. He donated all the land for the Greenmound Cemetery yet I can not seem to find any information on him.
My next question - Do you know if we have Native American blood through Ashcraft or Campbell or Money. It is talked about in Uncle Harvey's letter so was wondering if you had any information.
I was planning on going to Greenmound Cemetery soon to try and locate any information on the Campbells and Moneys. I think there is a brother of Jimmy Campbell buried there.
If you send me your e-mail address I can e-mail you copies of photos and the letters. I would just love to have any photos to go with my collection.
Thanks so much for getting in touch with me.
