Bio Photo I work in public education, and genealogy is one of my chief hobbies, and I host my collected work at

It has been my privilege to get involved in the FindAGrave community. I have a great respect for the austerity and tranquility found in cemeteries, a sensibility developed from spending time in Howard Daniels's magnificent Oakwood in Syracuse, New York as a child.

It is my pleasure to assist those seeking information regarding cemeteries in Upstate New York (specifically Western and Central New York), and with photograph requests in and around Northern Virginia. I am currently residing in Arlington, Virginia.

Paul & Sarah Reeves
Keith, thank you so very much for posting the photos of Paul and Sarah (Ware) Reeves gravestones. They are my 3rd great grandparents. I am descended from their son James Harvey Reeves & wife Cordelia Adams, then to James Dupha Reeves & Alice Rosalee Welcher, then to my grandparents Paul Dupha Reeves & Charlotte Wiser. I live about 7-8 hours away from the Newark/Palmyra Ny area so I very much appreciate being able to have these photos. I also have been working on genealogy since I retired from teaching.

Sorry, but I don't have any further info about them. I'll be glad to transfer them and any other family of yours to you--just let me know who.

RE: John Molye / Jannie de Maillie
Dear Keith David Reeves,

You are so very kind as well thoughtful.

In answer to your query:
Not yet.

Guess your a kinsman/clansman/ much to share and a hardy thanks for all your doing and have done. The S.A.R. is a wonderful organization. Is your wife in the D.A.R. too. Are you a Mason?

Do you know of the De Mallie GENE? ...
Some have a larger index finger than the middle one! In science where what is France today is where it came from. That's the farthest dating I know of , so far. Not not yet up to the Mustard makers... : -)

Now on the Spellings first:

So -So many different ways and the same Genetic Lines.. de De space, lower case, upper case as you well know the ending in French is never two vowells etc..etc..

You may have read the last Christian KNIGHTS TEMPLAR Riding with King Richard the Lion Heart.. that was Jacqueline de Mallie/de maille

Please add me as your friend/kin. On Finda Grave here too now.

RE: Many Thanks!
I have been very busy and forgot all about merging these two cemeteries. I just spent a long time on the website and have not gotten anywhere, so if your offer of help is still good, I would greatly appreciate it.

RE: Possible Merger
Hi Keith,
You are very kind to offer to delete your memorial, even though you correctly have the cemetery in which Josiah Litchfield is buried. Because Josiah is my 9th g grandfather, I am going to take you up on your request to keep my memorial. Thank you so much for your generosity - and for finding his place of burial.

Edward Howell
Hi. I know you have probably already heard about this but I just wanted to make sure. Edward Howell was my 9th great grandfather. I got an email last week from the Fayetteville, NC history museum letting me know about a ceremony for him at the cemetery in Fayetteville. I'll try to copy and paste part of the email here. Please let any other relatives of his know about this. My name is Dale Davis Aschenbach and I intend on attending this ceremony. Thank you.
This is the email......

I am with the City of Fayetteville and staff at our museum are looking for living descendants of Lewis Barge of Fayetteville NC. The Marquis de Lafayette Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution is planning a grave marking ceremony for Lewis Barge on August 17, 2013. The City maintains Barges Tavern and Mr. Barge was a pivotal citizen in the early history of our City. We would thoroughly welcome any living family who could be a part of the day's events. Please forward this message to anyone who may be interested. You can contact me with the information below or you may contact the City of Fayetteville's Historic Properties Manager and City Historian, Bruce Daws at (910) 433-1457 or .
The ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 graveside at 10:00 a.m. in Cross Creek Cemetery. A reception at Barges Tavern will follow. We know that it is short notice and the distance to travel may be far. If you are able to attend, please let us know so that we can include you in the printed program and greet you on the ceremony day. We would truly welcome any relative and have them participate by unveiling the Sons of the American Revolution marker next to the gravesite. If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to send a brief statement from the family that can be included in the program and read during the ceremony. Please stay in contact.

You are most welcome, Keith. It was only yesterday and so I don't
think of it as a delay. But thanks. I also looked for Jr going down
the hill and back up in section 7 and could not find him. The stone
inventory is only a few years old so I am wondering what's wrong
with my seeing ha ha. Best wishes for Happy Holidays to you
