Charles Peterson
Hi Millie,

I placed the photo note to try and eliminate so many photo requests for markers that don't exist. The J section only has about 1 marker per 10 burials. The photo requests were becoming time consuming to drive out there just to find no marker existed, so I leave that note for every burial that is missing the marker now. Jeff Brascher added several "section views" so you can see the area he is buried in, but the actual plot where he is located is simply grass, there is nothing to see really. You can request a photo if you would like, but know that it won't be anything more than grass. I also want to make sure that we are talking about the same Charles Peterson. Those are both common names and the cemetery records are showing November 22, 1928 was the burial date. I just want to verify which dates are correct before I actually change them.

Thanks,

Greg

RE: Laura & Charles Smith
I found a website (files.usgwarchives.net)which lists Artesia Cemetery burials. There are 3 Laura Smiths. The location you gave me is for Laura A. Smith. There is also a Laura Maltilda Smith and a Laura (no middle name) Smith. There is no Charles Smith listed. There are no dates given...just names and locations. Is Laura A. your Laura?

RE: Laura & Charles Smith
I emailed the cemetery requesting locations. I'll see what response I get. My husband and I are going in that direction tomorrow so we'll stop by the cemetery and see what we can find. We have never been to that cemetery. With the location for Laura, we can at least take a picture of the area for you and we'll look in the surrounding area for Charles.

Wish us luck, Carolyn

Laura and Charles Smith
I printed your photo request for Laura and Charles some weeks ago but noticed today they are no longer listed. I don't see photos on their memorial pages. I will be in the area later this week, let me know if you want photos.

RE: Belle Martin

You're very welcome for the photos, Millie and glad you liked them. Most times an unmarked grave is harder to locate, but Roosevelt provided me with the info in advance. Sure made my search easier. glad I could help out.
Happy Holidays,
Don
