Memorial 38808166
Hi Glenda,
In regards to your memorial 38808166 for Henry Zumwalt:
The photo you have attached to your memorial is not of Henry Zumwalt.
It is John Henry Jump Jr, the husband of Sarah Jane Zumwalt (the daughter of Henry Zumwalt and Jemima Boone)
This photo was cropped from a photo which was taken at a family reunion that took place in Texas in 1870 with Jemima Boone Zumwalt and he is sitting next to her in the photo.
Henry Zumwalt, the spouse of Jemima Boone died in 1850 at Callaway, St Charles, Missouri.
Thank you and Happy Trails,

Paula Williams
martha Darrington
Glenda looks like we are searching the same family. My name is Paula. I am the 2nd great granddaughter of Martha Ann Darrington, thur her marriage to Frank Ivey. To this marriage I believe she had 10 children. I am from the line of Margarte Elizabeth Ivey. Margarte married William Keen (King) and they had 8 children (5 have been confirmed) all of which has died by how. Ethel was my grandmother.

I noticed you had William E. Darrington listed. My question, at this time, is do you know any other information on him? I have written to a lady several years ago which said he was a full blood Cherekee Indian. I was also told he went to fight in the war and never returned.

If you are searching this family, would you be interested in sharing information?

Again my name is Paula, my email address is I hope to hear from you soon. Maybe between the two we could find more about William E. Darrington.

Julius Ceasar Vandeventer
I'm working on a Vandeventer tree for my mom, and I found that census information leads me to agree with your information about Julius Ceasar Vandeventer. However, I found a book called Combined History of Schuyler & Brown Counties, Illinois that contradicted your information. I think the book may actually be wrong, so I'm wondering if you could let me know where you got your information on Julius Ceasar Vandeventer.

Bounced email
Glenda, I just sent a detailed e-meil message using the link posted here, and it bounced immediately. I believe you and my husband are related through Ferdinand Lawrence Hearn, the father of Josephine Ella (Hearn) Burns. Do you have a new email address you don't mind posting here?

Thanks, L. Hearn

Virgil Phys and May Phye
Find A Grave has a rule that if someone has already posted a memorial for a person no one will add another memorial for that person.

I took my time to walk Riverview cemetery in Needles, CA. I took photos of headstones and posted the memorials to Find A Grave. It was a lot of work.

I am asking you to please delete your memorial for Virgil Phys #37681514 and May Phye #37681610. You can request from me to transfer the memorial to you and I will. This way my name will stay as the person who created the memorial but you will be the manager of the memorial. This is a courtesy to the people who donated their time to the Find A Grave project.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hello Glenda...
Arlington Cemetery - I only took the photo that is used by for the main page.
I've been there several times over the years - grew up in Illinois and took my mother and sister to Washington and Arlington to visit JFK's grave and eternal flame when it only had a white picket fence around it.
When you arrive at the cemetery, they have a kios at the entrance - you can put the name in and it will tell you where it's located.
Also, you can call ahead and make a reservation and if there's someone handicapped in the party, they allow you to drive on or provide transportation. I pushed my mother in a wheel chair on our last visit six years ago and it's hard work.
It's a beautiful cemetery. Hope you're able to get there to visit the grave..

Hi, I notice you've got lots of Osbornes in your virtual cemetery. Are you descended from Alexander Osborn? Might we be related?
