Bio Photo I live in Clinton County, Calamus,Iowa. I'm new at geneology but love going to cemeteries and reading the monuments. So I thought that I could help the rest of you look for your relatives. I am a member of the Clinton County Pioneer Cemetery Commission. These two loves have gotten me into a search for my family as well. My father was born and raised in England, so some day I hope to take a trip across the waters and discover what my father always talked about. My mother's grandparents came from Denmark I think, not really sure and there is no one alive to tell me, so I keep looking.

Linda;
You have a George Stewart headstone photo on Frank Benhart's site in Mayflower Cemetery. Would you please remove it?
Thank You;

Matilda Schmidt photo... WOW that was fast!
I think I just put that request in - so either you braved the cold weather and dashed out to the cemetery - or you already had one on hand? Thank you very much. I'm pursuing my mom's SCHMIDT and KREINBRING lines back around Lowden, Springfield township, Cedar County, Iowa. Her "German grandparents" left Iowa around 1930 at the start of the Great Depression and moved to Dixon, Lee, Illinois.

This last Thanksgiving, we drove through the area and located some ROWOLD and KREINBRING relatives who still live in the area. Most of their kin were in the Lowden cemetery north of town, but my understanding is that the original SCHMIDT and ROWOLD farms were south & west of Lowden.

We drove by there, but the light had faded and we just couldn't find anybody in the little time we had. Thank you so much for filling this photo request. If you are related to any of these folks - please let me know so we can collaborate. I have a private family tree that I'm working on at Ancestry.com if you think we might share some kin.

Thanks again!

I appreciate all the hard work that you have done to add the headstone photos for the Mayflower cemetery.

Roseann Bryan
I just received a message regarding a photo request:

"Cemetery office has no record of this person."

"This is [J]ohn Bryan's wife. Cemetery records show that she like her husband was not buried in this cemetery. She is not at plot 22."

Why is this message going to me? Wouldn't it make more sense to contact the person who currently maintains this memorial and have them correct or remove it?
