|I have been studying our genealogy for a few years, but consider myself a rookie for the time being. I reside in Northern Lower Michigan and have been taking photos of the requests I've seen. I hope that you will be happy with my photos when I start to post more. |
Please contact me if you have any specific requests, thanks!!! Dawn

I read what you wrote, but I did not write the bio. I simply cut and pasted it from the newspaper. How about writing me a bio that you would like to see and I'll include it. Many thanks

Mary is my great Grandmother, from what I understand she was married three times with one child, first husband Edward Sullivan, Second Alexander (no children) and John Olson who should be buried on the other side of her, do you live in the area? If so the next time you are there could you check for John's grave? Thank you so much for the other picture, I will add it to my family tree!

My name is Kay Mercier Kobetz. From what I can tell, Alexander is my great-grandfather. It looks like his first wife was Mary C. (1883 - 1919) and she is buried in the Kenton, Michigan cemetery.
My grandparents lived in Bruce Crossing at one time. Their names were Albert and Ethel (Beland) Mercier. They had three sons: Dorais Albert Mercier, James Mercier and Robert Mercier. There was one daughter that died in childhood and her name is Francine Mercier; I believe there should be a grave for her in the area, although I do not know where they were living at the time.

We didn't really look because we assumed the one on his headstone was the first wife. But the one on his headstone said she passed in 1961. Her name did say Mary E. so is that just a coincidence? Or some error?

You are very welcome. We were happy to take the photo for you. We try to get photo requests from the near by cemeteries. Some of the cemeteries still have a lot of snow in them and fortunately Alex's was in a higher spot toward the top of the cemetery where it was dry. Most of the cemetery otherwise still had snow and a lot of water from the melted snow so we weren't able to look for other requests from that cemetery until it dries up more.
