|CVal||Julia Johnson, Vale Cemetery|
Regarding your photo request for Julia Johnson:
I have been through Vale Cemetery several times looking for unphotographed headstones, and I have not come across one for Julia. It is a small cemetery, so I have covered the entire grounds more than once.
Several stones from the 1800s are lying flat on the ground, so hers may even be covered by grass. If you know of someone buried near her, I could use a cooking skewer to probe the ground in that location.

Hello, you submitted some changes for Papenfuss in Hiler Cemetery. Do you live nearby or are you related? I am a Papenfuss decendant and most of my direct ancestors are in the Nodine Lutheran Cemetery nearby.

I found the lot. There is a large family stone with "JOHNSON" on one side and "RISTE" on the opposite side. (There is no individual stone for anyone named "RISTE", but a "Palmer Riste" is listed as buried in this lot).
There is an individual stone for "Infant Johnson" and "Arthur Johnson" - but no individual stone for Christian Johnson.

Would you please link Louis to his mother Christina Dahlke #20616917? I really do appreciate your help with these Schroeder Dahlke family memorials.
Wonderful photos! Thank you so much!

The rest of the family is buried near Tomahawk and Pine River, but I believe he died without a place to be buried so his wife's relative (my uncle) who was Walter Barden gave them a spot for burial. The obit for his son says he is buried up north, but his obit says St. James in Wausau. He died in Tomahawk.
Its a mystery!
Son's obit in 1935 "Interment took place in Calvary cemetery beside the remains of his father, who passed away a year ago."
His obit: "Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. Wm. Smits, officiating. Interment will be in Wausau in St. James cemetery."
Since there is no St. James cemetery we believe it is in Walter's plot in St. Joseph.

Thanks for doing all the checking.
So sad he did not have a marker, but I guess times were tough.
