|I got interested in genealogy in the 1970's. My father-in-law was reminiscing about stories of his past and that of his relatives. One was telling of his great grandfather being shot and killed in a bank robbery in Columbus Grove Ohio 1891. So that began my journey of finding out about our ancestors. What a journey it has been like a giant puzzle and am always looking for the next piece. I have made many friends and even found a long lost cousin. My husband has put up with my wanting to visit and tramp through cemeteries.|
Findagrave has been a great asset and one the few that is free. I have found many links using this in finding and linking ancestors. Also, the contributors are very gracious in transferring of linking family

I never doubted you would be the best custodian for the Brandt photos. I'm glad they finally found a good home. You're the best.

I was delighted to see your addition of her obituary on her FindAGrave memorial. I would like your permission to include it in her FamilySearch page. It is loaded with family contacts. It is always a joy to find relatives, even very distant cousins. Thank You again, Jan Wint DeRosia, email@example.com

You had left a flower on his memorial. His memorial number is 15162513 I was just wondering how you knew him. He was the son of Harry Green and Gladys Askren Green.

Thank you Shirley,
You confirmed what I thought I knew and even added more.
I hope you don't mind me using that info on his memorial.
|Michigan mother||Ruth L Hurley|
I noticed that you posted a photo of Mr. and Mrs. Hurley on her memorial page.
Was she married to a funeral director?
Thank you for your interest in Findagrave. I share so many of the things you said on your page.
It is wonderful to be able to put together the pieces.
Shirley I forgot to add Lewis as husband to Mary Vandemark family relationships on the gravesite before I turned it over to you. Will you add his #43217340?

Shirley, just transferred Mary J. Stover over to you. Love the photo of Lewis and Mary J. Stover.
|joyce mann||RE: Mary J Stover|
Thank you Shirley. Since you are a Vandemark, would you like to manage Mary J. Vandemark Stover's grave on Find-a-grave. I will turn it over to you if you do. You probably know more about the family than I do as I am related to the Stover line only. David Stover, father of Lewis, is my ggg grandfather, and I am descended through his daughter, Mary Stover who married James Smith. Lewis is her half brother.
Hi Shirley - Thanks for the info. I've linked Charles to his parents as you suggested. Have a great day! Sharon
