and leaving some virtual flowers. Their enthusiasm for cemeteries and willingness to help future generations lives on through their contributions to Find A Grave. | | Bio and Links |
I've been researching genealogy for about 40 years and have found an invaluable resource in this website with a macabre name. Not only is it a source of information, it is also a growing repository for the results of my own research. In addition to ensuring that my own family members are memorialized here, I also am attempting to transcribe cemeteries in my area and enter any lists or partial lists I find of cemetery burials that are not already in FAG. If any duplicates slip through, please let me know so I can delete them.
Please ask for permission to use any pictures I have posted. Some are mine and others have been used with permission of their proper owners.
Each of these memorials represent a real person . . . and a family . . . and a story. I am honored to have a part in telling their stories.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you wish to contact me (whether a transfer request, correction, or because I have duplicated another memorial), please use the edit tab (SAC "suggest a correction") rather than leaving a message on this page. That way I have a link to the memorial in question and I don't have to search the whole country. If your request or suggestion concerns several memorials of identical surnames in the SAME cemetery, I can work it out--within reason. What I'm saying is I'll meet you half way so it won't be necessary to send half a dozen SAC messages, one will do.
REGARDING TRANSFERS: FAG guidelines regulate mandatory transfers. However, I will consider discretionary transfers to contributors who have an established presence on this website. This will include consideration of how long the requester has been a member, the quality of his memorials (i.e., more than just names and years when possible), other contributions to this website. When requesting a transfer, please state your relationship; if none is stated, it seems like you are trying to hide something--and I'm sure you don't mean to give that impression. And yes, "friend," "next door neighbor where I grew up," etc., are relationships.
When I create memorials that are not my own family or friends, I still feel a responsibility to add additional detail and continue to research them as time permits. I usually still have this research available, so I might be able to provide additional information on some of my memorials. Don't be shy about asking.
