I would be very honored if you would allow me to become the manager of their memorials. The numbers are # 66460500 and # 66458794. My number is #46902495.
Thank you so much for considering this.

Bainter Cemetery can delete my message. I see where somebody else got the information they sent to me. Sorry for the duplicate info. Dianne

RE: Bainter Cemetery Dresden, OH
Hi again, Anonymous:
I found out about a week ago, the property owner where Bainter Cemetery is, is not very acceptable to people wanting to go to the cemetery. As I understand the cemetery is back a lane, up a hill and into a wooded area where the current owner has not repaired any of the fencing and cows have been knocking over the stones and some are broken. This was discouraging news. I will try to get a phone number for the owner and call before I go out there. It's quite some distance from me. Will advise..... Dianne

RE: Bainter Cemetery Dresden, OH
Sorry, I didn't know I missed your entry. No, I will have to wait a bit to get to the Bainter Cemetery. We have had an extremely bad winter since last Thanksgiving and mucho-bunches of flooding rains in the last month or so. Getting into the (farm) field will be difficult until the ground dries out. I have a list for the Bainter Cemetery and will try to get all I can there - hopefully sooner than later....Dianne

Bainter cemetery
I am planning a trip through Ohio to visit a friend and would like to visit some of the locations where the Bainters settled. My mother's maiden name is Bainter and I have traced my lineage to Godfrey Bainter. I am saddened to read about the condition of the cemetery where Godfrey was buried. Have you visited the area? I would love to hear of your experiences. Thanks.

Bainter Cemetery
The following is an e-mail I received regarding the location of Bainter Cemetery. If you know what to do about this, please let me know. This cemetery is in danger of being totally ruined.

"The cemetery sits on a small hill on the east side of North River Road 666, approx 2 to 3 miles south of Dresden. The one and a quarter acres that the cemetery sits on is located in the center of the property of the farmer who lives between the river and the west side of North River Road. You need to check with the farmer before you go. He thinks that the cemetery belongs to him. The cemetery is excepted out of his deed and the cemetery is also excepted out of his property tax bill. There is a gate at the entrance of the cemetery if you known where to look. When I first visited the cemetery, there were still a lot of recognizable graves. The cemetery has deteriated to say the least If you go, do not mention my name. I contacted the State of Ohio a fer years ago because he was allowing his cows to roam the cemetery and they were damaging the tombstones. He kept the cows out for a while, but they since have been allowed back in. If you cannot locate the cemetery, contact me."

I hope this is helpful in locating it. However, the fact that a careless farmer is allowing cows in a cemetery is on a side of disrespectful I cannot begin to tolerate. Any ideas on what can be done?

I will do my best to find a way to locate it. I'm just waiting for replies from the people that seemed to have been able to find it and actually take the pictures. I will surely let you know!
