Bio and Links
Bio Photo My father once called my brother and me, "Dead end kids", and now that I am doing this genealogical research, I can feel his disappointment. Both of us had our reasons and our spouses felt the same, but this Find a Grave research has given me great satisfaction. We may not leave descendants, but we can leave a heritage for other members of our extended families to find as time goes on. This is a great network of volunteers who are willing to help each other "fill in the blanks" with photos and information.
I had several professional lives, which seems to be the norm. I was first, a fashion designer and spent two years living in New York City enjoying that, then felt called to an occupation with more long-lasting benefits, so returned to Arizona and taught third grade children for 30 years. Upon retirement, my husband and I opened an Antique business which we enjoyed for several years. Since then, discovering the family roots has become a passion...who knew we had been in this country, in many branches, since the 1600s! Now I am hooked!

RE: Wrong Cemetery
No Problem. I will fix Hannah. I have death certificates of their children Charles David, George, and Elizabeth....have not found Mary yet.

Hello Cerelle,
I'm happy to meet you! I have a book of the Remmel history but I've misplaced it? I'm going to request another? I believe George & Hannah are buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Washington, Daviess County, Indiana. Charles D. & Cora J. Remmel are both buried there, along with a son Jesse. I have a picture of his grave but I have not created a memorial on here yet. I'm not aware of a way to merge two memorials, if you want to add any photos or info to the ones I created that would be great. As soon as I locate the history book, I will get with you and share more info.
My email address is if you want to email me in the future and share more info.

Good Morning Cerelle! There are duplicates of this memorial. I'm wondering which memorial is correct. They are in different cemeteries! It would be nice to connect to George & Hannah.

Daniel son of Asa Butler
Again, thanks for sending me your tree. In order to qualify for DAR, each generation must be proven to connect to the other one. I am having a problem proving that Daniel Norcross Butler is son of Asa Butler. Do you have any source to prove that?
I can't find a will nor any proof that he is son.
Am I missing something???

RE: Daniel Norcross Butler
thanks so much for your prompt reply. I searched for two days to find a patriot for this potential member and I need to make Joel Butler work.
I was not able to click on the link and go to your tree. I've had problems before sharing trees.
Please invite me with my user name "tedwest777" and see if that works.

Very anxious to see your research and sources.

Butler family
I am a Registrar with DAR who is researching the Metcalf family. I keep finding your Find A Grave with good information about Daniel Butler and his daughter Susan Hannah. Could you tell me what source you got the information as I would like to use it in the application. Thanks

Mary Elizabeth Wade
I was searching for additional clues to my family tree and saw where you had left a memorial flower and sweet note on the find-a-grave site for my great-great paternal grandmother who was Mary Elizabeth(Stahl) Wade:

" Mary Elizabeth Stahl married George Washington Wade on the 6th of June 1848. Sleep peacefully. You are not forgotten.
- Cerelle Bolon"

Thank you so much for your hard work and sweet thoughtfulness! Your efforts have brought a smile to my face ... and I'm sure to many, many others.

May God richly bless you, Sandra Lynn (McMillan) Cox
daughter of Waldon Wade McMillan - your note was placed on 11/23/2012 - exactly 88 years after my daddy was born, and exactly 4 years after he died. His mother was Ava A. Wade, daughter of William Jackson Wade (1864-1950)- whose parents were George W. Wade and Mary Elizabeth (Stahl) Wade.

I have transferred these memorials to you. Sorry for the delay - my email program was blocking all my Find A Grave messages. Thanks
