Bio and Links
Bio Photo I like people of all ages. I like reading books and magazines. I like doing genealogy because of the detective work involved.
I do NOT like the many game requests that are sent to me on Facebook so please don't send me any. I can swim just barely enough to get from one side of a small swimming pool to the other. I can do the "dead man's float" quite well. LOL

One thing I like about doing work in cemeteries and graveyards is the quietness and tranquility.
I have a very vivid imagination and I like to imagine what went on in their day to day lives.
The weird thing is in doing our ancestry for both me and my husband we have learned some pretty bizarre FACTS!

RE: Ruth Brigham Hagan
Hello,
I did not create the memorial page for Mrs. Hagan. I have no control over what written information is on her page. I am sure that the person that created her memorial page would be happy to add her birth information for you if you requested it. I am not any relation to the Hagans or the Brighams. Either someone requested a photo for her or I just saw that she did not have a photo and I took one while I was in the cemetery. I am sorry that I cannot add information to her page, but please feel free to let me know about corrections that need to be made to any of the pages I did create.
Thank you,
a.babb

RE: Jane Bridges in Allison Cemetery
Sorry, but I don't have any further information on Jane Bridges. My Tyler County, TX work has concentrated on seeing that all recorded graves in that county are listed on FindaGrave. The Bridges of Tyler County are not related to me.

There are five Bridges in this cemetery and the John W. Bridges is of the right age to have been Jane's husband. If their graves are next to each other that would be a good signal.

But whether she was Mahala J. Pitts needs more proof, like the 1860 and 1870 censuses showing that to have been her name and John W. Bridges to have been living close by - not much travel in those days.

La Vera,
So many of the stones are not in the best of shape under the trees. So discolored and hard to photograph. Otha was his wife's name. He was born in 1917 and died 1978. So many are covered with grass and dirt and I am have to clean them off to photo.

RE: Justice Cemetery
Thanks for your second note. I have added further information on several of the memorials.

If you are related to any of these Justices, let me know and I will be happy to transfer their memorials to you.

RE: Justice Cemetery
Your note:
"I was about to upload one for Effie Justice, but we have a difference on her date of death. The photo shows her birth and death date to be the same: June 20, 1895."

Thanks for your note. I got the information for her memorial from the "TYLER COUNTY TEXAS GRAVESTONE INSCRIPTIONS" Compiled by Jim W. and Ann Crews Laird and published in 1997. This book was made by visits to all the cemeteries in Tyler County in about 1995. All the listings were based on visual checks of each tombstone. Here's what was listed for Effie:

Justice, Effie, b. 6/20/1895; d. 4/18/1941. Justice Cem.

However, if you have a photograph of the tombstone and one of the dates match, as your birth date does, then I have to believe that you found the correct tombstone and the correct dates.

Let me know when you post your photo and I'll correct the memorial to match your photo.
