Bio and Links
Bio Photo We would be glad to help you with adding information, but

YOU NEED TO USE THE EDIT TAB.

Due to the number of emails that we receive, we reserve the right to not respond to those who do not USE THE EDIT TAB per FAG guidelines. We do not add information from "Visitors" to FAG. Per FAG policy, we have 30 days to make a correction/addition.

We are not responsible for the 'half-sibling' notes on links or repetitious links. That is a database or submitter problem. If you do not understand why, please contact FAG.

TRANSFERS & CORRECTIONS-----Please follow the Find A Grave Guidelines for transfers and corrections and specify the relationship. "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren." Please use a Virtual Cemetery to collect your non-direct ancestors or special populations.

If you feel that you are somehow 'entitled' to our copyrighted work and pictures, do not be surprised that you will be held accountable. Each and every photo on this website is the copyrighted material of the person who took the photo (some may have been passed down or have been granted permission to post/use a photo) and usually posted it if documented. Permission is usually granted when requested. This is not about sharing. The photos and pics are in fact, shared on this site. It is about the common courtesy to those that spend time, effort and money all at their own personal expense to help preserve American history.

We have met many wonderful people through FAG. Unfortunately, there have been a number of individuals who have been rude, who have not understood that we are volunteers, who have been otherwise abusive or who have been frankly bizarre and/or threatening. To that end, we will follow the FAG guidelines. It is about the hunt, not the numbers. But dealing with some of the FAG members and interlopers, we have learned to follow the guidelines.

Our family names/linages include:

ADAMS, BEHEN, BELL, BENNETTS, BICKERTON, BLYTHE, BULLOCK, BUTLER, CALLISON, CHAMNESS [CHAMLESS], COLEMAN, COCKRELL, CORDER, COONTZ, CROSS, DAVIS, DAY, DOUGHERTY, DUDLEY, DUNLIN, DUNN, FEASTER, FEHAN, GENTRY, GROSE, HENINGER, HUNGERFORD, JOHNSON, LAWRIE, LEMMONS, LORD, MARSHALL, MAXEY [MAXCY], MCCOWN, MONTGOMERY, MURRAY, NEEHAN, OVERTON, PRESLEY, RUTHVEN, SMOOT, SPLAWN, STANSBURY, [TATHAM, TATEM, TATUM], TAYLOR, TERRELL, THURMAN, TIPTON, WARD, WATERS, WEBSTER, WEINWRIGHT, VOTAW, WINSTON, WOOD, YOUNG AND ETC. THIS IS THE SHORT LIST.

We have been working on family genealogy for about 40 years. We have a great number of documents that were passed down the family lines.
Both of us have formal training in advanced, graduate level research.

Cathy & Thomas,
Today I shared a photo of Kate on her memorial. Please add that her occupation was a photographer. Perhaps the wonderful photo is her artistic work.
Thank you for your contributions.

Smoot name change
Dear Cathy & Thomas, I am researching my Smoot relatives in Daviess County, Indiana and would like to link them to Bruce Smoot but need to know how his name went from William H.H.Smoot to Bruce Smoot. He is found in the Apr.30,1910 Census Veale Township, Daviess Co.,Ind. with his step-father Andrew J. Allen (age 81) as Head of Household, his mother Phoebe Ann (Smith) Smoot Allen (age 65) himself (age 26) his wife Flossie B. Smoot (age 20) listed as step-daughter-in-law and his dau. Lorene B. Smoot age 5 months listed as step-granddau-in-law. William H.H. Smoot's father was Wm.H.H. Smoot (1836-1883) who passed away shortly after "Bruce" was born. Do you know anything about the name change. His, Bruce Smoot memorial#49076627 buried in Memorial Park Cem. Oklahoma City, OK Co. OK. created by Cathy&Thomas
Thanks for any info you have. Lily

RE: Barbara Parker
Thank you. It came from Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Is that adequate? If not I will write something else up. Thanks again for keeping me out of trouble. Joe

Noble Co. Photo Wm.T.Fry
I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting place of many of our "old soldiers" that had ties to Vt. Wm. T Fry is one such patriot. May I use the photo that you contributed to his Find A Grave Memorial, to post on the Vt. C.W. site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You would receive credit for this.

Thank you for your consideration.

RE: James William Bell's wife
I have Laura Daugherty born 12/25/1810 in Scott Co., KY. She died 1/1/1893 in Sidney, Ralls County. Do you have the published book by A.Louise Shelton on Greenwell-Little-Donnally-Hardy and Allied Families of Maryland, Kentucky and Missouri? The Bell family is covered in the book.

Permission Request
Hello,

I am writing a book on the history of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Oklahoma to support our new state regent's educational project. I would like permission to use the image of the DAR marker on the gravestone of Mary Elizabeth Barnes who died in 1908 and is buried in Guthrie. Thank you very much.
