We would be glad to help you with adding information, but |
YOU NEED TO USE THE EDIT TAB.
Due to the number of emails that we receive, we reserve the right to not respond to those who do not USE THE EDIT TAB per FAG guidelines. We do not add information from "Visitors" to FAG. Per FAG policy, we have 30 days to make a correction/addition.
We are not responsible for the 'half-sibling' notes on links or repetitious links. That is a database or submitter problem. If you do not understand why, please contact FAG.
TRANSFERS & CORRECTIONS-----Please follow the Find A Grave Guidelines for transfers and corrections and specify the relationship. "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren." Please use a Virtual Cemetery to collect your non-direct ancestors or special populations.
If you feel that you are somehow 'entitled' to our copyrighted work and pictures, do not be surprised that you will be held accountable. Each and every photo on this website is the copyrighted material of the person who took the photo (some may have been passed down or have been granted permission to post/use a photo) and usually posted it if documented. Permission is usually granted when requested. This is not about sharing. The photos and pics are in fact, shared on this site. It is about the common courtesy to those that spend time, effort and money all at their own personal expense to help preserve American history.
We have met many wonderful people through FAG. Unfortunately, there have been a number of individuals who have been rude, who have not understood that we are volunteers, who have been otherwise abusive or who have been frankly bizarre and/or threatening. To that end, we will follow the FAG guidelines. It is about the hunt, not the numbers. But dealing with some of the FAG members and interlopers, we have learned to follow the guidelines.
Our family names/linages include:

Thank you for your note. After searching and researching the website, I found the instructions that would allow me to delete my original note and start over. The key was to click on the flower, which led to another page where I was able to delete the initial entry and write a new note. Everything worked perfectly. Thank you for your time in responding to my inquiry. Really appreciated it.

Cathy and Thomas,
I tried your suggestion, clicked on my note, but the system would not allow me to edit my note. Any other options you can offer? Is it possible that my note can be deleted? That way, I could start over and enter the correct information. Please let me know your thoughts.

Would you be so kind as to tell me which John Butts. Since these are my families I have well over 100 John Butt(s)in my database.
I'm not sure which one you might be talking about.
|Lily Virdell||Beulah F. Smoot confusion|
Dear Cathy & Thomas, You were so kind to respond to my ? about my relative Bruce Smoot that I inquired about last Aug. His wife Beulah F. Smoot has links and a maiden name that link her to the Kimbrell family. This is absolutely not correct. I do extensive research before I send edits as I want to be as sure as possible of my facts. Her marriage record states that her parents were George and Emma (Robertson) Devine. She was born in Indiana and all her census records agree. I am going to send edits to remove the incorrect info. I know you did not create this misinformation. I am also going to ask for transfers of Bruce and Beulah, even though they are not within strict guidelines. I am doing this to hopefully add enough biographical information to prevent these errors in the future. Bruce's father died before he was born and he dropped his legal name Wm.H.H. (after his father) after the 1910 census but before his WWI Draft Reg. in favor of "Bruce". Let me know what you think and a great big whopping THANK YOU for all you are doing for Find-A-Grave and us intrepid researchers. Happy New Year, Lily
P.S. Sorry, this was so long.

Thank you for your help in transferring the photo - greatly appreciate you help and kindness and thoughtfulness! Hope you have a wonderful year.

I would have used the 'edit button' as you have requested, but I wasn't sure if the message would be sent to you or to "Find A Grave" so that is why I have elected to use this method. I noticed that you have posted a photo of a 'marker' for a memorial that I added in Aug. 2014 and at that time I did not realize it was a duplicate memorial. Since the photo is your's I thought I would ask if it would be possible for you to post the same photo to the other Emsley Leaander "Lee" Vines that was established by Carolyn Leverich Atkinson in 2009? If that is possible and when completed I will request my duplicate memorial be deleted.
I came across a newspaper photo and posted to your memorial. Feel free to remove it, if you do not want it there or let me know and can. I see lots of good work connected with your name. Regards.

|David Rowl||RE: Mamie Bell Mitchell Woody|
I sent you the link to Mamie's first husband. As for her second husband, his name was Merton Joe Woody and they were married on 17 Dec 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Merton Joe was married before his marriage to Mamie and maybe buried next to his first wife but as soon I find his burial, I will use to edit tab to add his burial link to Mamie's.
Even though it only ask for the marriage year, the date of Mamie and her first husband is 7 Jun 1924.
Please let me know if there is anymore information that will help out.
|Elisabeth Cochran Guillot||Johnnie A. Leet|
Johnnie A. Leet (His headstone says John Leet, but it should be listed as Johnnie Leet, I'm guessing that was a mistake made when stone was put...) was married to Ivy Aronstein Leet. She's also buried at Grace. His other two daughters were Victoria Graham and Doris Keith both are buried at Greenoaks in Baton Rouge. Any way you can sync them to their parents? I'd really appreciate it.
