My interest in findagrave started when I worked on a family tree for my husband. We found some of his relatives and where they are buried through this site. It was comforting to look at their headstones and imagine what life was like for them more than 200 years ago.
I would like to thank all the volunteers for their time and effort in photographing and documenting the grave sites. I was so impressed with their work that now I am a volunteer and I enjoy spending my free time at the cemeteries documenting headstones of which some, unfortunetly, will be totaly unreadable in a few years.
In photographing cemeteries I noticed some of the older, hard to read headstones have been scratched to try and make out a name or date. I DO NOT alter the headstones in any way, instead, I take several photos from different angels to try to read them.
If you find any mistakes, please contact me and I will be glad to correct them.

By the way, I don't think I can finish Mobile National Cemetery. Only Sections 1, 2 and 3 left to photo. Best to get up close photos, some are worn or so white names can't be seen.
The rest are finished, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and Post/Main. Guess I got burned out.
