My love of history began in grade school and has intensified over the years. I am an active member and volunteer at the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society. Several of my articles have been published in their "Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage" research magazine. I have also written several books telling the stories of some of my ancestors. Two of my books, "Annie's Day of Light" and "A Home for Sarah" are available from Masthof Press in Morgantown, Pa.|
Five other books were published by Christian Light Publications. The most recent was "Aaron's Civil War," published in December 2011, which is available from Christian Light Publications, Harrisonburg, Va.
My most recent book is the history of Mid-Atlantic Mennonite Fellowship which was published in 2014 and is available from Little Mountain Printing, 234 E Rosebud Rd, Myerstown, PA 17067.
The main surnames I am researching are Burkholder, Stauffer, Good, and Powell (or Powl), plus many others on a lesser scale. My research is centered mainly in the Pennsylvania counties of Lancaster, Lebanon, and Berks. But I also have a reputation for not being able to travel anywhere without making at least one stop at a cemetery.

You're quite welcome.

Thank you for bringing to my attention the duplicate memorial. I have deleted the one I created.

|Jeff Sheaffer||Thank You!|
I greatly appreciate you taking time out of your busy day, to photograph Maria Lengel's gravesite. It's people like you that help make find-a-grave such a wonderful research tool.

Are you saying they are 2 different people, therefore your later memorial is not a duplicate? All I see is that there needs to be a correction made to the earlier one that has the birth month to be Dec. Are you also saying that a volunteer photographer has posted the wrong photo to that earlier memorial? If so, you can post your photo to the earlier memorial. It is confusing to have 2 memorials for the same person.

Hi Romaine, I am trying to find a photo of M. Elizabeth Warfel (1874-1965) married to Joseph Y. Hertzler. I saw your name with some of this family. Are they perhaps any of your ancestors? Thanks, Lois Ann Mast, Morgantown, Pa.
|Jack Gilchrist||Christian Weaver (b.1797, d.1841) - Updated|
Per your input that Christian Martin Weaver is not listed as a resident of the Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery I updated my records and his Find A Grave memorial to reflect your input and then removed my photo request for him.
However, I did leave a burial note in his memorial stating that cemetery is a likely place where he would have been buried.
Thanks for the feedback!
|Leon Hertzler||Milford & Martha Hertzler|
Oops! I removed them both as you suggested.
|Nancy Bowers||Leah Good|
Thank you for the update on her father.
|Janet Phillips||Frances Bryson|
I have added her parents. Janet
