|Born in Southern Taylor County, Texas, (West of Tuscola about 3 miles) & lived here over 68 years. Worked with Find A Grave over 4 years, but worked in Genelogy over 40 years. Attended & graduated from Jim Ned ICSD @ Tuscola, was 2nd graduating class of Jim Ned, before consolidation with Lawn, Texas, elementary school was in Ovalo and high school in Tuscola called South Taylor ICSD.|
Really enjoy entering obits from newspaper which I feel helps preserve our history of this Southern Taylor County. The newspaper obits contain so much information about the person & family.
My main gold is to completely enter all memorials at the Tuscola, Tx, Cemetery, then work on other South Taylor Cemeteries one at a time to complete them. There are so many unmarked memorials to identify locations.
Am always looking for Wilder, Gladden, Bryant Blankenship, Papasan, White, Cleveland, Edward, Harrisson (Harison) lines.

LAWN: Euna Estella McMillon, 95, died on Saturday, November 29, 2014. Services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, December 3, at Lawn Baptist Church, followed by burial in the Dewey Cemetery, officiated by Jack Ridlehoover, directed by Fry~Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, from 4 – 7pm at the funeral home.
Euna was born on January 5, 1919, to Henry and Dana (Stephens) Sheppard in Shep, Texas. She grew up in Shep attending Wingate high school. Upon her graduation she met and married J.T. (Jake) McMillon on November 23, 1938. Euna and Jake settled in the Lawn area where he farmed and served as county commissioner for Taylor County for 36 years, and she was a homemaker raising their twin sons, Donald and Ronald.
Euna was a true wife of a farmer and rancher. She always was ready to help with any chore that needed to be taken care of, or any job that needed to be attended to. She kept the tractors running by checking on Jake and the boys while they worked in the fields.
Euna loved to cook, preparing meals for the hungry farm hands and large meals for family gatherings, most of her dishes coming straight from her garden. When not cooking she was often found canning the vegetables from her garden for the upcoming winter months. When the boys got older she would work from time to time at various jobs including cooking for the children at Jim Ned.
Euna was a devoted Christian lady who kept the Lord close to her heart. When not caring for her family she was caring for her church family in Lawn.
Euna McMillon is survived by two sons, Donald McMillon and wife Jean of Abilene, and Ronald McMillon and wife Bobbye of Abilene; sister, Sybil Burch, of Phoenix, Arizona, grandchildren Jeff McMillon and wife Kimberely of Abilene, Holly Moore and husband Clark of Frost, Mark McMillon and wife Wendy of Plano, Matt McMillon and wife Rebecca of Abilene, Marci Phillips and husband John of Mansfield, and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T McMillon (2009); grandson, Joel Scott McMillon (1975); brothers, H. A. Sheppard Jr., Barney Sheppard, Darwin Sheppard; and sister, Pearl Allred.
In lieu of flowers donations can made to Abilene Education Foundation (AEF),
P. O. Box 1999, Abilene, Tx 79604 or to her church, Lawn Baptist Church, 518 Ave D, Lawn, Tx 79530.
Wanda, I have previously sent an edit request but you must have missed it. Find A Grave will not let me repeat it. The name on your memorial #37636799 should read William Obed Baker. and his mother is #157811756 Mary Woods. I would appreciate it very much if you could make these changes. Jim Huffman.

Hi Wanda. I'm not related as far as I know....no Cleveland surnames in my family tree. Have you done the DNA thing with Ancestry.com? Feel free to write me via my email: firstname.lastname@example.org
|Don Hill||Thank you|
Thank you for caring for my relative's find-a-grave pages and being kind enough to turn them over to my care. Much obliged and highly appreciated!

Hi Wanda....Thanks, first of all, for all your work on these memorials. It has provided information I did not have. I have discovered that on my great-grandfather's memorial an item I would like to correct. Dan O'Connell was the FATHER of Ernest Henry (Pat) O'Connell. He also had these other children: Minne Lee 1897-1948; Oliver Felton 8198-1973; Pat 1901-1972; Opal 1908-1980; Lillie 1910-1920; ad Mattie 1911-?.
Thanks, again, for all you do!

Dear Wanda! Thank you so much for approving the edits that link Mary Porter to her parents and siblings. I am most grateful! Pat
|Donna Shortridge||Edit for Eugene Whitehurst|
Eugene Whitehurst is my uncle I would like to connect him to his family. Thank you.
|Susan Farrar Martin||Martha Lou Cochran|
Sorry, I guessed the wrong year for Martha Lou's youngest daughter. I knew she was just a little older but.... Ellen Kay was born in 1947 not 1948.
|Susan Farrar Martin||Martha Lou Tucker Cochran|
Martha Lou was my mother's sister. Her children are: Martha Nell McCollum, 2/15/1935; James Wesley Cochran, 1/7/1942; Ellen Kay Cochran Dietrick, 9/21/1948. I just got the dates from her youngest daughter, Kay. Martha Lou is buried in McBee Cemetery in Tuscola.
