|Born in Southern Taylor County, Texas, (West of Tuscola about 3 miles) & lived here over 68 years. Worked with Find A Grave over 4 years, but worked in Genelogy over 40 years. Attended & graduated from Jim Ned ICSD @ Tuscola, was 2nd graduating class of Jim Ned, before consolidation with Lawn, Texas, elementary school was in Ovalo and high school in Tuscola called South Taylor ICSD.|
Really enjoy entering obits from newspaper which I feel helps preserve our history of this Southern Taylor County. The newspaper obits contain so much information about the person & family.
My main gold is to completely enter all memorials at the Tuscola, Tx, Cemetery, then work on other South Taylor Cemeteries one at a time to complete them. There are so many unmarked memorials to identify locations.
Am always looking for Wilder, Gladden, Bryant Blankenship, Papasan, White, Cleveland, Edward, Harrisson (Harison) lines.

|Calvin Montgomery||Montgomery at Dewey|
I was named after my Uncle Roy Montgomery(buried at Dewey 1968 - husband of Betty). My Father is buried there also (Coy Montgomery - died in accident 1953).Constance (Ky) Montgomery is my Grandmother& her sister Ruth Raper (married to J.C.) is my Aunt. I spent some summers with all of those folks back in the 1950's. Roy & my Grandmother had farms out close to Dewey. I grew up down in Ozona & I have lived in Austin for 40 years or so. My son & my Uncle Roy share the same birthday. One older brother James Coy who still lives in Ozona. My wife & I visited Dewey when my Mother was in Hospice care down in San Angelo, she passed July of 2011. There are many more relatives buried at Dewey. Who can I contact to inquire about buying plots at Dewey?
Thanks for the response,
Calvin & Jane Montgomery

The transfers have been made.
No, I haven't run across any other Gladden family members. However, from what I understand, some people are trying to photograph all the headstones at Sunset Memorial. That would be quite a job if were true.

JFI pointed out that Tommy Wilder is a duplicate. They let me know the cemetery since I didn't have one, but I did have the obit. I would be happy to transfer him to you if you like. Let me know - Teresa

Thanks so much for your note ! I appreciate your letting me know, and I will make a note of it. I've been doing my husband's genealogy for the last five years. His mother was an Atwood and she was born in Oplin. You probably know my husband's cousin - Beverly Atwood Blankenship. It's a small world! Thank you again for the information on the Polson gravesite. Best regards, Judy Curbow
