I have always loved cemeteries. The stones are beautiful works of art.
I began working on my family tree a couple of years ago to put an end to the myths that I was raised with. We are 100% German, well... really we are about 50% German and 50% Irish. We were millionaires until Gussie died and she "Willed" all the money to 20 different charities. Well... she did give all the money to charities, but it was around $150,000. Which is a lot of money! So, I have been hooked on genealogy ever since.
The names I am working on are Kramer, Jeschke, Kleinschmidt, Kister/Keister, Pierce, Kelly, Rochford and Smith. All from Clinton County, Iowa.
Coats, Keys, Smith from Randolph Co., Indiana.
McCambridge, Blair, Houck, Gonterman from Macoupin Co., Illinois.
Simpson, Chrisman, Bates and Rogers from Wayne Co., Kentucky.
Linck and Keller from Wheeling, West Virginia.

 | Weathers Thanks so much for the great job on Frank, Frances, and their daughter Mary. And especially thankful for the extra shot of son Lawrence and wife Mary.Added by Dan on May 17, 2013 10:54 AM | | | Dan
 | RE: Thanks Yes, thanks for letting me know about that. They both died of natural causes. Pretty wild that they only died a week apart. They are siblings of my 2nd great-grandfather. This year I was able to piece together who were his parents and siblings. It's been fun putting it all together, and your info definately helped.Added by Dan on May 16, 2013 8:42 PM | | | Dan
