Bio Photo Hello! I had originally been a member of Find a Grave from a long time ago, but due to different email address, etc. I could not retrieve my old info so I just gave up and rejoined, so my "member for" does not accurately reflect how long I have been actually utilizing Find a Grave.

A few years back I had seen where someone had done some photos, and had gone to the trouble of entering names and death dates at a cemetery that holds many, many of my loved ones. I thought, "Isn't that such a nice thing to do!" I live in Georgia now, but I was born and raised in good Old Shreveport, Louisiana.

When I realized that folks were willing to go and photograph and document cemeteries all over, I thought wow I would like to help to do that too! That was quite awhile back and though I have wanted to be a photo volunteer for a long while, at the time my children were way too little. They are now starting to get up and old enough for me to pursue a few things that I'd like to do. Being a photo volunteer is one of those things.

I always loved and respected cemeteries my entire life, as I grew up LITERALLY with Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent Avenue in Shreveport, Louisiana in my backyard. We were always respectful that it was a persons final resting place, but we also treated it like the beautiful large peaceful park that it is/was.

So now as I said before,I am happily married and we have 3 children of our own, and as they have started to get older, they too it seems are going to be interested (and respectful) of appreciating cemeteries and the past that they hold and represent.

I am hoping that I will be able to help someone else that perhaps has moved away from an area where either they or their family or ancestors were originally from, and take a picture of a tombstone and get accurate names and dates for someone else!

Union Cemetery.

I am a volunteer with Find A Grave. I work at Union Cemetery. The week of March 4th, 2013 I took photos of all the markers in Block 866. Leamon did have a marker.

I've been to Providence Cemetery and located Donald parents grave site and a few other Gullions but not Donald. Talked with Jose whose is on cemetery committee and together we looked at records but unable to locate. Also talked to Rose-Neath Funeral home who handled services. They also said it was correct locate. There is a grave just to left of " Tex " gullion that is unmarked, possible that there is no head stone. Jose suppose to call me back after a cemetery committee meeting on Dec 15th, if it results in any news I'll leave you a message. For now I'm going to unclaim photo request. Good luck.

RE: Wendy Ruth Gullion
She was a such a pretty and sweet-looking girl, it was my pleasure. Hard to find her though, as I was looking under the original name on the memorial. So she's buried under her maiden name? Long story there?

Also what is her relationship to the Mr. Parish whose marker she shares?

Best wishes,

John Prime

RE: Levi Sterling Goen
Yes, there is conformation that he is there but there is no headstone. SandyB has a paper stating that is where he is buried. Sarah is buried in Galltin. I am from William's side and so is SandyB. I will be glad to share with you what I have. I have quite a bit of info. I thought Levi only had William, I never knew he had a daughter. Do you know her mother's name? I hope to hear more from you. I will link any other memorial's to the one I have if you would like.
