I love going to cemeteries, especially old ones. I like to take pictures of old headstones and posting them. Also headstones of men and women who have served and fought for our country. They should be remembered, especially those who gave their all.|
If you find a mistake please let me know so I can correct it. If for any reason you object to your immediate family being posted on this site by me...please e-mail me and I will remove the memorial. If you want your family memorial transferred to you,I will be pleased to do so.

No hurry on the "better picture!" He isn't going anywhere. Thanks!

Yvonne, thanks for the wonderful picture of the tombstone for Joel Buttram. It is not easy getting a good picture of the old handmade gravestones and shallow handmade inscriptions. Your kindness is appreciated.

Thanks for the obit of Ethel, I gleamed the main parts as I don't list the living anymore, as it is against the rules as of Sept, 2012. I am related to Hecks on my dad's side from the south, and on my husband's mother's side from Monroe. The Lays are cousins also, as anyone from Claiborne, Union Co. areas, TN. So many families came to Monroe for work, and stayed and had families.
One thing was pleasant surprise in the obit, my neighbors, whom I cared so much for, now moved away, were the Mignano's. Cried so much for beautiful Michelle. My sister-in-law was her caretaker. Her mother is still living, but we called her Virginia. She never went by her first name with friends. Haven't seen her for a while.
I have checked some of the family and I think I have alot of the pictures of markers on my external hard drive. If not, I have put them on my list to look for when I get back to the cemetery. Spent 3 hours there last week, and it was disgusting how the sod and grass has grown over the markers. Most are flat in the ground. Thanks again, and if you need anything this way, just ask, I always try to help if I can.

I've got a photo of his obituary from the LaFollette Press, and wondered if you'd like me to email it to you? He's buried in Baker's Forge Cemetery, and I had transferred his memorial to you. You can email me at email@example.com and I'll reply with the obituary attached.
