When my sister and I were small our Grandpa started calling us "Pete" & "Re-Pete". Obviously, I'm the "Pete" of the two. Grandpa has been gone a long time now but my nickname still remains. I use my nickname to to keep him close in my heart. His memorial is #47849464.
I was raised on a farm in Broken Arrow, OK, still work there. Don't think you can ever take the farm girl out of me, it's just a way of life. I've always been interested in where I came from. I used to ask my Paternal Grandma to recite the names of the family as far as she could remember. Oh how I wish I had kept the scribblings I made as she recited that list! She's also gone now, along with valuable information I can never recapture.
I was informed of this site after losing my first husband. I'm now making an effort to connect the dots in my family. If I can be of assistance to you please leave me a message.
NOTE**** May 2012 - - I am part of a team receiving management of Charlie Crocker's memorials in PARK GROVE CEMETERY in Broken Arrow. Let me know if you have additional information on any of the memorials I hold there. I will try to get to the corrections as soon as possible, but there are a LOT of memorials!

 | James Henry Simmons Hi Pete,
James Henry Simmons (#10262698) is my uncle. I wonder if you would consider transferring his memorial to me (unless he is your relative).
There are also other family members I would request transfer for, if they are not your relatives.
Thank you for your work with Findagrave.com. I definitely appreciate it.

 | Memorial transfer Hello Pete,
I wanted to ask if you would also consider transferring Emma (10250686), Audie E. (10253971), Audie Ernest (10253970), & Gus (10245137) LaFarlett's memorials to me. I have been working on my family's genealogy for almost 20 years and would appreciate being allowed to have their memorials. I appreciate your time and consideration, God bless.

 | RE: Memorial# 10254546 Sorry for the delayed response, I have been out of town. You pose a good question. Every time I have seen the name listed, apart from the census, it has been as Margaret Ellen. It is obvious, from her headstone, that she went by "Ellen" in life. If I find anything relating to such, I will let you know. | | | | [View all messages...] |
