|Bio and Links|
A native of Washington, DC, I have a PhD in Romance Languages from Princeton University (whose mascot is the tiger). I wrote my dissertation on Andre Breton. France is my second home and I often travel there. French cemeteries are very different from American ones. I have traveled to every continent (even Antarctica) except Australia. I enjoy visiting cemeteries and paying homage to the great souls who have made life beautiful.|
I began by writing "famous bios" for Find A Grave while recuperating from a broken foot. Then I added memorials of my parents and parents-in-law. This opened the gates to an amazing set of new friends from around the world who have visited my family's sites and given me the opportunity of honoring their dear ones. The kindness, caring, generosity and concern of Find A Grave members have been extraordinary. I am especially grateful to Edda Meinikat for so generously sponsoring my mother's memorial as well as my mother-in-law's site. Three such lovely women would certainly have been friends had they known each other on Earth. I am also thankful for the friendship of Janet, the "Cape Codder," for sponsoring the memorials of my father John Stanford Stultz and a special member of my husband's family, Sister Mary Roddenbery. My favorite Find A Grave "cousin", Alice Morton, kindly sponsored my dear father-in-law, Thaddeus Roddenbery. Then Reilly, my friend in Ireland, sponsored the site of my Irish great-grandfather. The circle of kindness spread even wider when Seagull sponsored my Aunt Indie Gutman on the eve of her 109th birthday. The depth and breadth of my gratitude have grown ever deeper and wider.

|Kris Burns, UK||RE: Sgt George Hogan|
it was my pleasure to remember Sgt Hogan.
Today is the start of the week that I find the hardest to cope with.
My Dad died 32 years ago today, Mum would have been 92 on the 19th & she will have left us 6 years ago on the 20th.
My daughter was 28 this week, so later today we are going over for a BBQ. We are having a heat wave at the moment so it should be good fun.
Trust all is well with you & yours.
Your friend from across the seas,

Please, no thanks is needed but please know I was honored to visit your cousin. My father served in World War 2. Even today, I cannot even imagine what our brave men and women go through! But I thank them with all my heart!! Have a good week!! Your Friend, Linda Lou

|Alice Morton||Hi cousin Janice|
Thanks for thinking of Edmund and I . We both appreciate it...
Damon isn't very good and calling me so I am not sure what he is up to at this moment..I tend to forget he is an adult and has been to Europe many times.. He has a french last name (Votour)so
he will fit right in.
Hope all is well with you.. We were in the Boston area last year so didn't make it south.
Hopefully next year I will get to do my trip
to Virginia etc. I don't like to fly so will
probably drive and do lots of Genealogy stuff.
Since I also have folks from New Jersey I will
certainly be there as well.
Take care and hope to hear from you soon. My
computer is being fixed so I am at the Library
to do my computer stuff. Next week I will get
mine back. What did we ever do without them and
|Alice Morton||Good Morning|
As I said I never thought they would go to that extent but I am glad they did. What a great thing for them to do that for you.
How was your trip to Paris? My son is flying into Paris tomorrow then on to Berlin where he will stay for a week. He then will go to Prague for awhile and visit friends then who knows. He said after the cancer last year and all the stress that entailed that he wanted a good vacation and he has lots of friends in Germany so that seemed to be the logical choice.
|Alice Morton||Hi Janice|
When I requested a picture of the grave site of George Hogan I never dreamed someone would put all of the great information they did..What a wonderful gesture on their part. I am so excited for you to get that information..
