Bio Photo I am the mother of 2, grandmother of 4 and great grandmother of 1. Retired from Government work a number of years ago and am working on geneology for both sides of the family. If I have someone listed that is in your family and you would like me to transfer it to you, please let me know. I do this so that all of us can search for and know the tapestry of our family history.

RE: Dooley, MT
I got hold of someone in the records department of Sheridan county and she had a book there that held the names of individuals buried in Dooley Cemetery and my Harold was there. She even gave me the lot number and the pages his obit was on in the Daybreak. Since I already had the obit I at least found where it came from. I had gotten it from the newspaper out of Norman County, MN. I guess Harold had relatives there in the Ada/Twin Valley area. Problem solved. Keep poking around long enough and the answer is usually there. Linda

RE: Dooley, MT
Again, how does one find where someone is buried? Is there a town close by that keeps the records? Is the cemetery being maintained? There must be more up-to-date burials. There have to be more then 15. I have the orbit for Harold Stenseth from Dooley and it says he is buried in the local cemetery and the year is 1919. He doesn't show up in that record. Another puzzle?

Dooley, MT
How does anyone find out who is buried in the Dooley, MT cemetery? I have an obit but it just says the local cemetery (1919). Linda

Guy and Lorna Killion--The Knees
I am happy to transfer. This cemetery was difficult to find and had evaded local searchers here for some time. The road is rough to get there but it is a beautiful place, up high on a bench with dry farm land all around. The beautiful "Knees" buttes are quite a site in this otherwise flat area. the church that was adjacent to the cemetery has burned, but the cemetery has a nice chain link fence and seems to have someone doing upkeep. There is also one unmarked grave in this cemetery. If you have any "leads" on who it might be, please pursue them. Thanks.
