Bio and Links
Bio Photo My appreciation for this site began when I discovered a photo of my own son's grave marker. It had been placed upon his burial almost thirty-six years ago. As many of us know, one deals with grief in their own way. I had not returned to that far away cemetery all those years. Now, because someone spent their own time to photograph the cemetery and my son's marker as well, I have come to a much-needed healing point. Now I am happy to say I can visit his grave any time I wish on this site.
Looking forward to contributing when possible.

RE: Maggie Paul
I don't like to make mistakes but sometimes it happens. Yes, I would suggest you call Lindenwood, 260-432-4542, and asked who else is buried on that lot. I do know that a Catharine Paul Towers is on the lot to the left of her. Good Luck and have a great weekend! Barb

RE: Maggie Paul
I have made a mistake. The photo I attached belongs to Maggie Leeson. She is in F86 and Maggie Paul is in F85. She does not have a tombstone. Sorry for the mistake. Barb

Jamie, thanks so much for the photograph of Ruben Hill's grave marker. I knew there wasn't much there for him, but I'm glad that he has something though. Thanks again!

photos for the Roots
Hi,
I am a F-A-G volunteer like you are. I am doing this to save you time and disappointment. I would want to be treated this same way.
Sadly, there is absolutely NO cooperation from the San Luis Cemetery with Find A Grave volunteers. I was threatened with the police by the owner of the San Luis Cemetery, just talking to him over the phone.
However, there has been great success with the San Luis Obispo County Genealogical Society. They completed exhaustive photographing of gravestones at San Luis Cemetery.
You can email a request for a photo of the grave stone(s) you are looking by doing the following; and they will respond promptly:
Address your email to
slocgs@gmail.com
Put in the subject line
San Luis Cemetery Headstone photo
Give them the name and birth and death dates, or as much as you know.
Ask them to send a picture of the headstone, and tell them how you are related or what your interest is in this person.
They will appreciate that. This information may only be used in genealogical research.
They will email you within a day or two with an attached photo(s), if it exists.
I will ask that your request be removed (so others arenít discouraged), now that you have a very reliable and quick way to achieve your goal. If there is any problem, please let me know.
As a reference here is the website for the index for all the burials at San Luis Cemetery through 2010. http://www.slocgs.org/pdf-files/SLO-Cem-Location.pdf
Best wishes.

RE: Mazur/Lottig
I am so delighted to meet your acquaintance. I only wish I had gotten to this sooner if my own life has had many twists and turns. I don't know if you are away but I was informed just last night that my grama's brother George passed away two weeks ago, now she and Walter remain :( I have posted my number openly for any connection to freely contact me. This has been a tragic yet exciting journey. I recently made a book for my grama who like Walter and George is also now in her third stage of Alzheimer's. I am still missing photos for members of the family including the Mazur/ Mazer line; if any more assistance further down the line would help complete this book I would also be grateful for the contact. Thank you so much for the wonderful message and the time to put in details/info. I will be offering this book up for sale once completed, records, stories, photos welcome, if credit should be received please report the author. I also have an ancestry account please pass the mssg to my "cousin" as well and Happy Holidays to you all! Add me on facebook if you have one! Thank you so much!
