I'm an amature genealogist. I was introduced to genealogy by my Grandmother Campbell when I was 16 year old. She gave me copies of a Civil War ancester Pleasant Smyth Scott to do a history project. I started my search in ernest in 1991 when I bought my first computer. I have extensive research on my grandfather Casterlin's father's line. I am about to start on another line, but not sure which one. I have been very lucky that their are other members of my family also interested & have lots of information. I would love to try & get headstone pictures of all my direct ancestery line. I am working on Campbell, Casterlin, Scott, Strauss, Lyon, Westlake, Griswold, Lander, White, Batton, Hamilton just to name a few.

RE: Sarah White
Lisa, One more thing you find interesting... http://dellariola.tripod.com/white.htm
will verify that Nola white and Sarah (Boone) White were married

AND right under that is their children.

One of their children, Bessie and her husband died the same day that Sarah White did.

RE: Sarah White
Nope, it's the right Sarah Elizabeth White. I've had Sarah Elizabeth Boone with the same DOB and DOD as Sarah Elizabeth White for about 2 years now. It was verified when I saw the following page...
http://www.thecoffeycousins.org/Bishop/b7743.htm#P7743

I just never knew they were at Shiloh until I read that page.

hope that helps a bit

H (Hosea) R. White
Hi Lisa,
I just put a picture of H R White (memorial# 5124971)on Find A Grave and thought you might like to see it in case you don't have a picture of him. On the back of the picture it shows his birthday as July 30. I have sent a request to the person that established the memorial to change.
Have a nice day,
Susan

Casterline's
Hello Lisa,
My wife Helen's grandpa was Benjamin A Marshall.
the son of JOHN MARSHALL & GEORGIANNA ELIZABETH SEELYE. John was the son of Eliza Jane Casterline married Moses Marshall. Many of the Marshall family are buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Aurilius, MI.
Elaza Jane was the daughter of PHINEAS H. CASTERLINE SR. & ELEANOR MOLLY HAVENS.

I have connected most of these on findagrave.
Hope I haven't confused the issue.
Sincerely -- Theron Smith

Charles S. Casterline
Thank you for your connection. You have him listed as Casterlin. His father was Joseph Casterline and Peninah Searing Casterline. So Charles apparently changed spelling.

Casterlin at Arlington
I posted photos for Ellen Casterlin for you, but I didn't see a memorial listed for her husband. If you can create a memorial for him I can post the photo I took of his stone. Thanks!
